Winter fun is coming to Clear Path Pediatric Therapy!❄️

We’re so excited to offer “Mini Camps” this season — three-day experiences designed to help kids learn, grow, and connect in a supportive environment!

✨Winter Language Lab (ages 4–6) — build receptive & expressive language skills
🥪Winter Snack Chat (ages 4–6) — boost social communication & executive functioning
💬Winter Special Interests Group (ages 7–8) — connect through shared interests

Our Mini Camps will be held Dec. 29, Dec. 31 & Jan. 2 and each session is led by one of our incredible speech therapists! Parents are asked to remain onsite during sessions. Children do not need to be existing Clear Path clients to participate.

🌟Play, Explore, and Connect!🌟

We’re excited to introduce Play Groups at our private clinic! These fun, relaxed sessions give children the chance to move and create in our sensory gyms — no therapy, just play!

✨Early Years Open Play (ages 2–5)
✨School-Age Open Play (ages 6–10)
✨Sibshops Group (ages 7–13) — for siblings of children with special needs

Each group meets once a month during December, January, and February. All groups require registration before the event. A CPPT team member will be on-site, and all families are welcome (you don’t need to be a current client!)

Holiday Fun Fest at Clear Path Pediatric Therapy!🎄

Bring the whole family for a FREE day packed with holiday cheer! Guests are invited to ring in our new therapy space with a special morning of winter fun.

We will have a variety of FREE family activities for kids of all ages, including holiday crafts, face painting, music classes, kids’ yoga, therapist-led story time, and sensory gym play! Enjoy some festive holiday treats and coffee from Nour while you explore our clinic and meet our team. We will also be giving away some exciting prizes throughout the day!

We will also have a special guest in attendance – Santa Claus!🎅Come take a free picture with Santa (provided by )or sign up in advance for our Sensory Santa Experience, a calm and quiet setting designed for flexible, child-led interactions with Santa. Families must sign up for sensory Santa on our website. Only a handful of time lots are remaining!

Today is International Stuttering Awareness Day!💬

Stuttering is a difference in how someone’s speech sounds — words may stretch, repeat, or get “stuck” for a moment. Many children go through periods of stuttering as their language skills grow, and for some, it continues into adulthood. With support, understanding, and the right strategies, children who stutter can become confident communicators!💙

Today, we celebrate the voices of those who stutter and encourage families to listen patiently, give time to express thoughts, and focus on what their child is saying — not how they say it.

What are Primitive Reflexes?🙋🏼‍♀️

Have you ever noticed your baby startle suddenly or grip your finger tightly? These are examples of primitive reflexes—automatic movements that babies are born with to help them survive and grow in the early months of life.

As the brain matures, these reflexes usually integrate (fade away). But sometimes, they stick around a bit longer than expected. This can affect a child’s:
🔸 Balance and coordination
🔸 Speech and oral motor skills
🔸 Emotional regulation
🔸 Attention and learning
🔸 Sensory processing

In early intervention, we often check for retained reflexes when a child is experiencing developmental, behavioral, or motor challenges. These reflexes aren’t “bad,” they just might need extra support.
