We were honored to kick off the holiday season last weekend in Harrisburg! The city hosted their annual holiday parade which featured giant balloons, decorated floats and performances from local marching bands and dance teams.

This giveaway provided 500 families with turkeys, produce, side dishes, coats, and clothing. PA Health & Wellness, Wellcare, and Ambetter from PA Health & Wellness, were proud to be a part of this community event.

The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Center of Philadelphia, in partnership with the Office of Councilwoman Katherine Gilmore Richardson, recently hosted a Senior Resource Fair. This event was part of the Kroc Center’s 15th Anniversary Celebration Month, continuing its mission of strengthening community partnerships and improving access to wellness and social support for Philadelphia’s aging population. PA Health & Wellness was proud to be a part of this celebration for the community.

During the winter holidays, it is especially important to review and update your emergency plan with your family. PA Health & Wellness is encouraging seniors in the communities we serve to plan for emergencies and discuss it with their loved ones. Pictured here is Membership Retention Specialist Estelle W. during her visits to the Sparks Senior Centers in Lansdale and Harleysville. Seniors in attendance received an emergency kit that included a whistle, pill container, flashlight, handwarmers, and warm grippy socks. Estelle discussed how to make an emergency plan, important items to keep in your emergency kit, fall prevention, and elder safety.
