⏰ Time to SPRING Forward! 🌸 Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend, which means longer days and more sunshine ahead. It’s the perfect time to shake off the winter slump and get moving!

Try this quick, fun springing/jumping exercise to get your body energized: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, bend your knees slightly, and do 10–15 gentle springy jumps in place. Keep your core engaged and land softly to protect your joints. Repeat for 2–3 rounds to wake up your muscles and boost your mood.

Let’s spring forward together into a more active season! 🌷

Spring is only a few weeks away 🌷☀️ … and that means more time outside, more movement, and more reasons to feel your best!

As the days get longer, many of us jump back into walking, running, gardening, golf, and outdoor projects. But after a long winter, your body might not be quite as ready as your mindset.

Now is the perfect time to:
🌼 Loosen up stiff joints
🌼 Rebuild strength and flexibility
🌼 Address nagging aches and pains
🌼 Prevent injuries before activity ramps up

Don’t wait until something hurts. A little preparation now can mean a strong, pain-free spring ahead.

Ready to move into spring feeling your best? We’re here to help! 💪

Shovel smarter, not harder. Your back will thank you. ❄️ When clearing snow, try to push the snow instead of lifting it whenever possible. Pushing keeps the load lower and closer to your body, which reduces strain on your lower back and avoids the added stress of lifting and twisting. Lifting heavy snow—especially when combined with rotation—is one of the most common causes of winter back injuries.

When you can, use a shovel to push snow forward or to the side, walking with it rather than scooping and throwing. This allows your legs to do the work and helps you maintain a more neutral spine. If you do need to lift, keep the shovel close to your body, bend at your knees (not your waist), and avoid twisting.

A few small adjustments can make a big difference in keeping you pain-free all winter long. Stay safe, take breaks, and listen to your body!

❄️🏅 Feeling Inspired by the Winter Olympics? Train Like an Athlete Before You Hit the Slopes! 🎿

Even Olympians don’t skip their warm-up — and you shouldn’t either! Before skiing, take a few minutes to prep your body. Start with a hamstring stretch to support balance and protect your knees. Stand tall and gently hinge forward at your hips with a slight bend in your knees until you feel a stretch along the back of your thighs. Hold for 20–30 seconds and breathe — no bouncing!

Pro tip: Do a minute or two of light movement (marching, squats, lunges) before stretching to warm up cold muscles.

Ski strong. Ski smart.

Here are the answers! ❄️🏅

Ann – Olympic: Figure Skating ⛸️ (she’s here for the grace, the jumps, and yes… the sparkles ✨) | Paralympic: Biathlon 🎯🎿 (because skiing AND sharp shooting? Total powerhouse energy.)

Jen – Figure Skating ⛸️ (clearly a fan of the spins, the drama, and those edge-of-your-seat routines!)

Steph – Downhill Skiing 🎿 (fast, fearless, and flying down the mountain like a pro 💨)

Kristen – Speed Skating ⛸️💨 (low stance, high speed, and racing to the finish line!)

Looks like we’ve got a strong skating theme going on around here — with just a little need for speed mixed in! 😄

Did you guess any of them right?

🏂❄️ Winter Olympics Trivia Time! 🥇How many physical therapists are on hand at the Olympic Games?

👉 Answer: Dozens! In fact, at some Games, 200+ physical therapists are part of the medical team — working in polyclinics, at competition venues, and alongside national teams to keep athletes healthy and competition-ready.

Behind every medal moment is a whole team… and PTs are a big part of it 💪✨

Teamwork makes the snow work ❄️💪 Shoveling a driveway doesn’t have to be a solo mission. Teaming up helps reduce strain on your back and shoulders, builds in natural breaks when you swap off, and adds an extra layer of safety with someone watching your footing. Plus, it brings a little motivation—and maybe even a few laughs. Divide the driveway, switch tasks often, keep loads light, and shovel smart so your body thanks you later. Stay safe out there!

This Sunday might bring a heavy snowstorm! ❄️ If you’re headed out to shovel, remember it’s a full-body workout. Warm up first: march it out, stretch those legs, roll your shoulders, and lift with your legs—not your back. Your body will thank you! 💙
