This year Pack Light will be highlighting a book each month that we recommend often to clients. The first book we would like to recommend is ADHD 2.0 by Edward Hallowell, M.D. and John Ratey, M.D. This book explains the brain science behind ADHD and how to heal your brain to help you heal your ADHD. We found their connection between ADHD and Depression as very insightful and useful for people to understand their brain chemistry better. They also discuss something called VAST that is akin to ADHD but slightly different. It is basically how our brains are starting to become wired differently because of all of our technology usage. The book is geared towards understanding ADHD in adults, but there are some useful tips for managing it with children as well! (We have not been paid or compensated in any way for these recommendations).
