Beyond Limits

Beyond Limits We invite you to discover your individual potential. Beyond Limits is led by Kerri Eggleston, PT, DPT, Cert. DN, and B.S. in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise.

Beyond Limits is a therapist-owned physical therapy and wellness company whose services include: physical therapy, personal training, fitness classes, and nutritional coaching. She is a graduate from MCV and Virginia Tech with a vast background in sports and group exercise. Her sports experience includes: soccer, gymnastics, tennis, cross-country, track, cycling, and bodybuilding/weight-lifting. She embraces 7 years of orthopedic physical therapy (including 5 years of dry needling practice) and 12 years of group exercise/personal training experience. She believes in providing patients with hands-on physical therapy that they cannot provide for themselves to improve outcomes. Through exercise, she seeks to guide you on a journey to uncover what you are truly capable of accomplishing. Let's do the hard-work together to get you where you want to go. Kelly Sorensen, NASM CPT, will provide additional personal training services at Beyond Limits to help others build strength, improve mobility, and overcome injuries. She brings 5 years of personal training experience and has worked alongside Physical Therapists and Chiropractors. Through a science-based approach, she is able to tailor programs to any fitness level regardless of the complexity. She is looking for those who want to take their journey beyond recovery and get back on track to a healthy lifestyle. Kelly enjoys weightlifting, nutrition, yoga, Pilates, and equestrian fitness. Her goal is to help her clients in their success by making their goals more like fun and less like work to maintain sustainability. Please contact us via email or phone for more information or to schedule and appointment.

Can you train too much? Normally, training is a way to improve your performance, but in some cases when you train too much you can develop overuse injuries. When you exercise you cause microtears of muscle and sometimes microfractures of bone. If given the proper time to rest, the body heals these micro-injuries and makes them stronger. Overuse injuries, however, occur when the damaged tissue does not have sufficient time to heal. They can also occur when you ramp up activity too fast or only train one specific exercise. Adolescents are at higher risk due to the rapid growth occurring in the body. Want to learn more? Contact me today: www.beyondlimits-pt.com, kerri@beyondlimits-pt.com, 804-496-1381.

What is metabolism? Your metabolism is the rate at which your body turns food into energy. If you’ve fallen into the “yo-yo” dieting traps before, you’ve likely experienced a slowing metabolism. Consistently eating less than your body needs will hinder your progress and performance. Dietary changes need to be slow and steady over time to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. Not sure how much you need to be eating? Contact Beyond Limits today to get started and KEEP the results you work hard for: www.beyondlimits-pt.com, kerri@beyondlimits-pt.com, 804.496.1381.
