Just wrapped up a couple of days of TECC training with Ashland and Talent Police Departments, where DRS taught critical life-saving skills like tourniquet placement, wound packing, and applying chest seals. These skills will not only keep the public safe, but can also be used to save an injured officer.

A significant percentage of life threatening bleeds occur in the area between the torso and extremities. These complicated injuries are not able to be addressed with a tourniquet but are compressible if you know how to perform a wound pack.
