Happy Tuesday Everyone!

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month and Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Taylor County SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) has arranged an educational session for all community members and professionals.

This event will take place April 28th at NTC, with a virtual option available for those who prefer to attend online. A special guest speaker from In**st Aware, a survivor advocacy group, will be presenting on statistics, prevention, and support for survivors.

In addition, the team will host a panel discussion covering:

• how to talk with your kids about staying safe
• what the process looks like if something does occur
• available resources and support

There will be two sessions offered: 1 PM and 6 PM.

The flyer is attached for easy registration and more information on the topics that will be covered.

The Beds From Christ Program has recently come to an end, and we are grateful to share that the remaining funds were generously gifted to our department. This contribution will make a meaningful difference as we continue supporting families in need—especially children who are still without safe beds and proper bedding.

A sincere thank you to the United Methodist Church for thinking of our department and choosing to extend your mission of care through this donation. Your kindness will continue to impact our community in such a positive way.

If anyone feels called to help, donations are always welcome through our department. The need for beds and bedding remains steady, and every contribution helps us provide comfort and stability to the individuals and families we serve—especially those who are not able to utilize other programs or community resources.
