On Sunday, our Medford team had the honor of gathering for a beautiful celebration of life for one of our clients, Ryan.

While he is still with us and receiving hospice care, it meant so much to come together, share memories, laughter, and love while he could be part of it all.

Moments like these are a reminder that caregiving is so much more than tasks — it’s about connection, dignity, and showing up in the most meaningful seasons of life.

We’re grateful for owner Jeff being there alongside caregivers Jessica and Megan, who have been such an important part of his journey.

New Outlook Home Care – Redmond Branch

Our Redmond team gathered at Blacksmith Public House on April 12th for a caregiver meetup, and it was such a great time!

It was an evening full of connection, laughter, and meaningful conversations—something we truly value as we continue building a strong, supportive team. Sharing a few appetizers (on us!) made it even better, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy each other outside of the workday.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to invest in our people—not just as caregivers, but as a community. 💛

As we continue to grow, we’re moving away from quarterly meetings and into a new rhythm that better supports both learning and connection. Annual training will now be completed online through Care Academy around your hire anniversary, with medication training still held in person with our nurse.

In place of meetings, we’re excited to offer fun, optional caregiver meetups as a more meaningful way to connect.

In Central Oregon, we’re looking forward to the upcoming caregiver meetup at Blacksmith Public House on Saturday, April 11th from 3–5 PM—we hope to see you there!

Medford team—join us for two upcoming caregiver meetups at the Phoodery in Phoenix! We’ll have a relaxed music trivia night at 5:45 PM on April 30th (participation optional) and a bingo night at 5:45 PM on May 12th (clients welcome). It’s especially meaningful that Jeff, our owner, plans to be there to connect and spend time with everyone—we love that he makes this a priority!

We also have family-friendly events planned for the end of summer—we hope you’ll join us!

Join us for a caregiver meet-up on Saturday, April 11th from 3:00–5:00 PM at Blacksmith Public House in Redmond. This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow caregivers, enjoy some snacks, and spend time together outside of shifts.

Please join us in welcoming Marissa to the New Outlook team as our on-call agent for both branches! 💛

Marissa is a registered nurse with experience in pediatric care across hospital and outpatient settings. She has also handled on-call responsibilities in her previous roles, bringing valuable experience supporting both patients and teams after hours. While her background is in pediatrics, she has a heart for the elderly and is passionate about helping clients remain in their homes as long as possible.

Marissa will now be supporting both branches as our weekend on-call agent from 5:00pm Friday through 8:00am Monday. When you call the main office line after hours, she’ll be the friendly voice on the other end—returning voicemails and assisting with on-call needs until our regular staff returns.

We’re so glad to have her on the team! 💛

Caregiver Jessica and her client James are celebrating their 2-year caregiving anniversary, and we think that’s something worth celebrating. Over time, relationships like these grow beyond the day-to-day routine, becoming meaningful connections built on trust, consistency, and shared moments.

Jessica, thank you for the compassion and dedication you bring to your work. And James, thank you for being such a wonderful part of the journey. We love seeing the impact of care like this.

✨ Medford Caregiver Spotlight: Stephanie ✨

Stephanie brings 18 years of caregiving experience and a deep passion for helping others. She loves taking care of people and building meaningful connections with her clients, sharing that loving and caring for them is both meaningful and healing.

Stephanie is actually one of the original New Outlook caregivers, back from the days when Jeff and Jeremy were running the agency out of the very first office in Ashland. She has seen the heart of this company from the very beginning, and her dedication has been part of what helped build the strong community we have today.

Recently Stephanie wrote the office to share her gratitude with the team, saying:

“Without each and every one of you, this agency wouldn’t be where it is at. I don’t know if you hear it enough, but you are so appreciated.”

She also thanked the New Outlook team for the time and dedication put into providing caregivers with the tools and support needed to deliver quality care to clients — many of whom become like family.

Known for her compassion and dedication, Stephanie is a valued member of our team and a wonderful example of person-centered care.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter.

WELCOME TO THE MEDFORD OFFICE!
Rain brings valuable front office and leadership experience to the New Outlook Home Care Medford team. She previously worked as a front desk and front office supervisor at a chiropractic office, where she developed strong organizational and client service skills. Rain also spent four years as a personal caregiver for her grandmother, an experience that gave her a deep understanding of the compassion, patience, and dedication caregivers bring to their work every day.

Outside of the office, Rain enjoys taking her chocolate lab, Elenore, on hikes, collecting rocks along the beach, and spending time being creative with art projects. She also loves hosting game nights and craft nights with friends. A self-described passionate nerd, wanderer, and wonderer, Rain is excited to bring her energy, creativity, and heart for people to the New Outlook team.

Connection, community, and one special anniversary 🌟

Pictured here is Nicole from our Redmond office with our very first caregiver, Sunshine. They recently had the opportunity to present to the Senior Care Network in Bend and provide lunch for their meeting while sharing about New Outlook Home Care and the work we’re doing in our community.

It was especially meaningful to have Sunshine there to share her perspective as a caregiver — talking about what has helped her stay with New Outlook and how being part of a smaller agency has made a difference for her. Hearing directly from the caregivers who do this work every day is something we’re really proud of.

We also made some wonderful connections with other agencies who share the same heart for serving the elderly in our community.

And as a special side note — this event happened right around Sunshine’s one-year anniversary with New Outlook! We are so grateful for the compassion, reliability, and heart she brings to her clients and to our team every day. Thank you, Sunshine, for being such an important part of our story.

Looking for a fun outing? This Lucky Bingo Bash in Medford might be a great way to spend an evening with the seniors you care for. 🍀

There will be snacks, drinks, face painting, photos with a leprechaun, and of course plenty of bingo with prizes. Events like this are a wonderful way to enjoy time together, get out in the community, and share some laughs.

If you’re a caregiver or family member in the Medford area, this could be a fun little adventure to add to the calendar.

New Outlook Central Oregon is honored to host lunch at this event!

We are honored to welcome Emily Keyes, Healthcare Navigator with Central Oregon Veterans Outreach, Inc (COVO), to the panel of expert presenters at our educational luncheon on Thursday, 03/12, at noon at Bend Senior Center.

Emily is a Navy Veteran (E-5) currently serving as the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Healthcare Navigator at Central Oregon Veterans Outreach (COVO), where she has worked for over a year. In this role, she supports veterans in accessing VA healthcare, benefits, and housing resources to promote long-term stability and well-being. She is also a certified OHP Assister, helping individuals enroll in and navigate the Oregon Health Plan to ensure they have access to necessary medical coverage.

Her professional background includes service in the U.S. Navy, work at a domestic violence shelter, and experience in an inpatient pediatric psychiatric hospital. These roles have shaped her commitment to trauma-informed care and advocacy for vulnerable populations, especially fellow veterans.

Emily grew up in Bend, Oregon, and moved back home in 2024 after living in Virginia Beach for ten years. Outside of work, she is a proud mom to her two-year-old daughter and has two dogs, a Beagle and a Great Pyrenees, who keep life full and active.
