Did you know that acupuncture can lower blood pressure? Consistent treatments over a sustained period of time, along with some lifestyle modifications to reduce stress and blood pressure spikes, can lead to stable, healthy blood pressure.
***Please note we advise anyone wishing to discontinue blood pressure medication to consult with their primary care physician. Results from acupuncture vary, and blood pressure monitoring is very important when attempting to make these kinds of changes.

No, we don’t provide veterinary acupuncture, BUT we think this information is worth knowing and sharing! Acupuncture helps various animals with numerous health conditions. For people who ask, “do I have to believe in acupuncture for it to work?” - the answer I always give is that it works on animals… animals most likely do not have beliefs about acupuncture 😉

This study marks a breakthrough in acupuncture research because it used a double blind trial design. Neither participants nor researchers knew who was receiving treatment or placebo. While those who received the placebo also experienced pain reduction, the pain relief lasted longer for those who received acupuncture.
This study is also important as showing promise as an effective treatment for vulvodynia. Vulvodynia is a chronic pain condition of the v***a and genitalia affecting as many as 10% of females. It is woefully understudied, and the results of this study were very positive.
