Thanks to the incredible student leaders at Logos Public Charter School, our pediatric units are feeling extra festive this season.

Their first-ever Toy Drive brought in gifts that will be hand delivered on Christmas Day by Santa alongside our Child Life Specialist Kirsten Dunlap at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center, creating moments of comfort and happiness for kids spending the holiday in the hospital.

We’re so thankful for the students, families, and educators who chose compassion and community. This is the kind of kindness our kids will remember. 💙

This fall, Medford Police officers once again participated in No Shave November, using a lighthearted tradition to spark meaningful conversations and raise support for local cancer care. The result was $𝟮,𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 for the Heimann Cancer Center, surpassing last year’s total and expanding their impact even further.

As officers return to their clean-shaven routines for the holidays, the difference they made continues for individuals and families navigating cancer right here in our community. We’re 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡 for their dedication, leadership, and willingness to stand up for local care.

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 that remind us just how special our community is. 💙

Journey just celebrated her third birthday and every wag, nuzzle, and calm presence is a reflection of generosity at work. Journey brings comfort to pediatric patients during some of their hardest moments and that kind of support doesn’t happen by accident.

In this time of reflection, we pause to remember how Journey’s path began, inspired by the life of our 2022 Children's Miracle Network Champion Miles and the comfort his service dog, Charlie, provided throughout his care. Moved by that connection, a local family donated a puppy to Asante and in honor of Miles, she was named Journey, a tribute to his favorite band and the song “Don’t Stop Believin’.”

We’re deeply thankful to Workspace Team for funding Journey from day one and to the donors who continue to make programs like this possible.

Your compassion carries forward a legacy of love that began with Miles and now touches hundreds of children.

Happy birthday, Journey. Your work matters more than you know. 🐾🎂

Rogue Credit Union members and employees came together once again, surpassing last year’s incredible total by 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 $𝟮𝟴𝟱,𝟴𝟬𝟲.𝟬𝟬 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 $𝟰𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 through Change a Child’s Life Week, Give+Save and more. All in support of Children’s Miracle Network programs at Asante. 💙

During a recent visit to the Family Newborn Unit, Rogue Credit Union leaders connected with care teams and saw how this increasing level of support directly benefits local babies, children, and families.

We’re so grateful for their partnership and for a community that continues to show up bigger each year.

Back in October, Del Rio Vineyards & Winery's and raised $𝟭𝟮,𝟳𝟵𝟭.𝟮𝟱. Proceeds will help reduce the cost of mammograms and support educational programs that spread awareness about breast cancer.

When Abigail was diagnosed with Lyme disease, her treatment plan meant making frequent trips to Grants Pass from Brookings for ongoing care. The long drives, hotel costs, and time away from home quickly became overwhelming. Staying at The Family House gave Abigail a safe, affordable home base close to her doctors, easing the financial and emotional strain. Now she speaks up for “people like me” who depend on The Family House and the need to expand so more families can find the same comfort and support.

When 67-year-old Monty from Brookings was diagnosed with cancer for a second time, he and his wife faced the stress of frequent travel and where to stay for treatment. Discovering The Family House, the low-cost hospitality house, gave them a stable, affordable place to stay near Helen K. Spears Cancer Center where Monty received care. With that burden lifted, they were able to focus on his health, felt genuinely supported by his care team, and now champion The Family House as an essential community resource.

At 32, Amanda was diagnosed with both progressive MS and breast cancer, a combination that meant she and her husband and their three children faced months away from their home in Crescent City.

Thanks to the The Family House, she found an affordable, welcoming “home away from home” where her family could stay together through a full year of treatment, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. The Family House offered them comfort, stability and peace of mind when they needed it most.

As we head into 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, we want to share a story about what “welcome” really means.

Since 2012, Jeanine and Joe Hallett have turned to The Family House whenever they needed care at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center, finding far more than a place to stay. Through years of treatments and recovery, including both of their cancer diagnoses, they discovered a supportive community that eased the challenges of being away from home. Surrounded by staff and guests who care like family, The Family House has become their “next best place to be” when home is out of reach.

The Human Bean's annual Coffee for a Cure raised $𝟮𝟮,𝟯𝟯𝟳.𝟯𝟲 for Asante! Human Bean's support continues to strengthen access to breast cancer screenings, diagnostic services, and education for local patients.

Their team, along with customers in our community come together with purpose every October, turning a single day of coffee sales into meaningful support for people facing breast cancer close to home.

We’re grateful for their ongoing advocacy and commitment to community health. Thank you 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗻!

We are saddened by the passing of our former CEO, Scott Kelly, who retired in 2023. Scott was known for his warmth, compassion and humor, and led this organization through important chapters of growth and resilience. He cared deeply about our community and the people here—staff, physicians, patients and families—and believed in our Mission.
