Main Line Health has stepped up to lead the way in helping area patients struggling amid the opioid epidemic with its newly launched Delaware County Overdose Response Team.

“This is a partnership between our paramedics and our certified recovery specialist team,” Jaclyn Dugan, manager of clinical support services for Mirmont Treatment Center, said. “It’s a partnership of an individual with a medical background and an individual with a personal experience. What they’re trying to do is help that individual who is battling the disease of addiction, hitting that rock-bottom point, giving them the opportunity … to get into treatment.”

Paramedic and certified recovery specialist will go out on OD calls. Service still limited by municipalities and time, but Main Line hopes to expand service.

We love seeing our alumni living fully in recovery. Recovery gives us the chance to show up for life’s little moments with the ones who matter most. Thank you for sharing your light, Amy. And happy Halloween to all our recovery family!

"Earlier this week, I took my kiddo to Trunk or Treat and it was an absolute blast. Old Amy would have never been so comfortable and present to enjoy every moment with this amazing kid. Being able to make these memories makes recovery so worth it. I hope everyone has an awesome Halloween! I know I will with this kiddo!" - Amy

Nearly 1 in 5 women experience a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder, and 1 in 10 struggle with substance use during pregnancy — highlighting how important it is for women to have access to behavioral health and prenatal support within one coordinated system of care.

Main Line Health Account Manager Jackie Bramble recently met with Dr. Patricia Ischiropoulos and some of the team at Main Line HealthCare OB/GYN at Riddle Hospital to ensure our collaborative care continues to thrive.

Too often, women feel stigma or guilt when facing behavioral health or substance use challenges during pregnancy. By continuing to raise awareness and work collaboratively, we aim to change that narrative.

Main Line Health is proud to offer safe, evidence-based mental health and addiction treatment for women up to 32 weeks pregnant. As a unified health system, we are helping create healthier futures for both mother and child.
