Well folks.... School is just around the corner.
Now is the time to schedule your eye exam so you can clearly see. With so much time being spent on computers at school and at home it's important that you have a clear view.

Digital eye strain can be related to eye and vision problems caused by extended computer or digital device use. Symptoms include eye discomfort and fatigue, dry eye, blurry vision, and headaches. Remember to take breaks away from the computer and get your eyes examined regularly.

GIVE YOUR EYES A BREAK !!!!!!!
I would like you to take a moment and think about this: Everyday your eyes are doing a tremendous job to process so much information. From the minute you wake to the minute you fall asleep, as well as through the night when some light may be creeping through. There is hardly ever a moment when your eyes can fully rest.

There are studies that say there is a significant amount of blue light emitted from digital devices and computer screens. I read that short-wavelength, high energy blue light scatters more easily than other visible light, it is not as easily focused. When you're looking at computer screens and other digital devices that emit significant amounts of blue light, this unfocused visual "noise" reduces contrast and can contribute to digital eye strain.

All I suggest is take an eye break! Walk away from the computer for a few minutes during the day. Put your phone or tablet down for an hour before bed. Try not to be on your computer or phone all night. We all need to do a better job of protecting our eyes

A comprehensive, routine dilated eye exam is a painless examination performed by an eye care professional. The Ophthalmologist / Optometrist examines your eyes to look for common vision problems and eye diseases, many of which have no early warning signs. This simple yet important examination can help to preserve your ability to see clearly for a lifetime. Schedule your yearly appointment today and help yourself to ensure healthy eyes for a very long time.

Changing the trajectory of eye health around the world

October 11, 2018 is World Sight Day, and at Johnson & Johnson Vision we’re doing our part to spotlight sight and raise awareness of the global issue of avoidable blindness and visual impairment. According to the World Health Organization, nearly 285 million people around the world face impaired vision and 80 percent of those cases are preventable with early diagnosis and treatment.

As Johnson & Johnson Vision is committed to changing the trajectory of eye health around the world, World Sight Day is one of the most relevant days of the year for us.

That’s why we have launched a worldwide campaign to . During the week of World Sight Day (October 8-12), the company is shining a spotlight in the sky from its vision headquarters in both Florida and California as a new bold way to attract attention to eye health. We hope you will join us in honoring the day and supporting the broader global cause.

Johnson & Johnson will donate one dollar for every photo posted through the Donate a Photo app to one of its two global signature initiatives that preserve and restore sight. While photos can be of almost anything, Johnson & Johnson Vision is encouraging participants to take a photo, share it on social media and tag it with .

The two signature sight-saving initiatives and activities specific to the program are:

Lions Clubs International Foundation's Sight for Kids

will provide 100,000 children with eye health education and access to vision screenings. Sight for Kids has provided more than 26 million children around the world with eye health education and services since 2002.

Himalayan Cataract Project

will provide 1,000 people with a 10-minute life changing cataract surgery. As a result of the Himalayan Cataract Project’s efforts, over 8,875,905 people have been screened and treated, including surgery for over 740,000 people from 17 countries.

You can post up to one photo per day using the app. Each cause will appear in the app until it reaches its goal, or the donation period ends on December 31, 2018. Users without smart phones can also demonstrate their commitment to eye health by posting their photos and commenting using on Facebook and Twitter.

The funds donated via Donate a Photo are only a small part of larger commitments Johnson & Johnson has made to these organizations. Through partnerships and contributions to nonprofit organizations, Johnson & Johnson Vision is committed to promoting eye health and education to the global community.

We hope you will join us this World Sight Day to .
