Every child deserves a circle of 5 trusted adults they know they can rely on. Encourage your child to choose these people now, so when they need to talk about something difficult, they already have a safe list of supportive adults.

πβ¨ World Children's Day: Listening to the Future β¨π
Today, on World Children's Day, we join a global call to action inspired by the Declaration of the Rights of the Child and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. At Family Support Line Children's Advocacy Center, we believe that every child has the right to a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where they can thrive.
In 2024, we are called to listenβto truly hear childrenβs voices and their dreams for the future. By listening and acting on what they share, we empower the next generation to create a world rooted in empathy, justice, and opportunity for all.
Letβs celebrate today by committing to listen, advocate, and stand up for every childβs right to be heard and protected. Together, we can build a future that reflects their voices and vision. ππ

π Today is World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Violence
Every child deserves a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment, free from harm. On this day, we unite in our commitment to protect our most vulnerable and support survivors on their journey to healing.
At Family Support Line, we work with families, professionals, and community members to raise awareness, prevent abuse, and provide essential resources. Letβs continue to break the silence, strengthen our protective circles, and advocate for change.
Together, we can build a world where every child is safe, supported, and empowered. π

Vision
Our vision is to advance the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.
Philosophy
At Family Support Line, we believe that:
A proactive approach that offers family support and child sexual abuse prevention education to children, their parents, other professionals and community members is necessary to stop the abuse from happening in the first place.
A coordinated system of investigation, prosecution and provision of services best serve the child and family.
Early intervention and family support are two critical elements in achieving a healthy and full recovery from the trauma of sexual abuse and breaking the cycle of abuse.
Services to children and their family members should occur in a safe and trusting environment and by professionals trained to deal with this trauma.
Child sexual abuse affects all members of the family, for this reason, all members of the family need treatment and support regardless of their ability to pay for them.
Goals
Provide treatment services to all members of a family who have experienced sexual abuse creating an environment of support and understanding that leads to a full recovery.
Ensure high quality, professional service provision to children, families, professionals and community members.
Develop prevention initiatives that meet the increasing needs of specific constituencies in the area.
Create communities that support and care about the health and safety of children and families.
