Modern Dog Massage has achieved Level 1 Certification in Canine Arthritis Management.

30% of dogs (regardless of age) are affected by Osteoarthritis, making it the most common chronic disease they face, and one of the top reasons for euthanasia.

If you've recently discovered that your dog has OA, or think that they may be suffering with it, MDM can help.

We can help you recognize the often subtle signs of OA, make effective and low-cost changes in your home to make life easier for your dog, teach you canine massage & acupressure to help reduce pain and increase mobility, and give your dog a longer and more comfortable life.

MDM strongly advises that you seek veterinary support if you feel that your dog is in pain.

Our Story

Nationally Board Certified Canine Massage Therapist offering services to all breeds and ages of dogs. Done in the comfort of your home, or our studios in Medina or N. Olmsted. Specializes in Senior and Oncology Massage for dogs.

SOOOO much more than pampering canine massage eases muscle and joint pain, improves circulation and immune functions, increase flexibility, and helps the dog’s body recover more quickly from exercise, injury or surgery.

Additionally canine massage deepens the human-dog bond, promotes relaxation, and decreases stress levels, which calms nervous dogs.

Diane Pekarek, owner and founder of Modern Dog Massage, is a Nationally Board Certified Canine Massage Therapist. She received extensive lecture and hands-on training in Basic and Advanced Massage at the Chicago School of Canine Massage, and in specialty areas of Palliative, Hospice and Oncology massage.
