When Lisette started riding at age two, it was yet to be discovered where her journey would take her. But each session - with a steady horse and a supportive team - helped her believe in her own strength.

Your generosity empowers moments like this. It doesn’t just support therapy. It builds self-confidence, one ride at a time.

We are at 70% of our year end goal! A donation of any amount gets us closer to 100%.

🐎 National Day of the Horse 🐎

For thousands of years, horses have carried us forward.
They charged into battle beside soldiers, helped build nations through farming and industry, and stood as loyal partners through every chapter of human history.

Today, their role has evolved—but their impact is just as powerful.

At We Can Ride, horses continue to change lives. Through patience, strength, and an incredible ability to connect, they help individuals build confidence, find independence, and discover joy they may not have thought possible. No longer defined by war or work, these horses now serve as partners in healing and growth.

On this National Day of the Horse, we honor their legacy—and celebrate the way they continue to move us forward, one ride, one connection, and one life at a time. 💙

Thanks, Dover!

“As a volunteer during lessons I have witnessed kids and parents being lifted up and transformed by our generous herd of sensitive horses. I cannot fully express my gratitude for all the joy We Can Ride brought to clients and to me personally.”

Sheila gives because she believes in what horses can do. Her generous donations have funded therapy sessions, horse care, and rider scholarships.

Your giving doesn’t just go toward a program. It creates moments of courage, calm, and connection for those who need it most.

Make your impact today - and be part of the herd! HTTPS://p2p.onecause.com/wcr25

Brrrrrr! It might have been a little cold this weekend, but the only thing "Chilly" in our indoor arena was therapy pony Chilly and his partner in "crime", Theo!

Theo was so proud to show his riding skills to his grandpa on Saturday. Chilly, Theo and We Can Ride have something in common...we are all small but mighty!

Do you want your year-end dollars to have a huge impact on riders like Theo? We are currently at 62% of our year-end fundraising goal, and we have THREE WEEKS to get all the way there. Will you help? Link in comments!👇👇

Sometimes the best member of a conversation circle is the one with the softest nose. 🐴💛

Horses listen without judgment, hold space without words, and somehow make every gathering feel calmer and kinder.

Here’s to including a little equine wisdom in our circles—because every conversation is better with a horse by your side.

If you believe in the healing power of these moments, please consider supporting our end-of-year campaign. Your gift helps keep these connections possible. 💙🐴

We are 62% to our goal!

💙 International Day of Persons with Disabilities 💙
Today we honor the diversity, vibrancy, and strength of the disability community — a community that includes people with disabilities that are visible, and just as importantly, those that are unseen. Disabilities come in many forms, and each person’s lived experience adds depth and richness to our shared world.

At We Can Ride, we celebrate this day by reaffirming our commitment to access, inclusion, and advocacy. Every rider who walks into our arena carries their own story, their own goals, and their own brilliance — and we are proud to meet each of them with respect, support, and the belief that they belong.

Through equine-assisted services, we strive to create a space where people of all abilities can grow, connect, heal, and shine. Today and every day, we stand with the disability community and continue working toward a world where everyone is valued, welcomed, and empowered.

🐴💙 Here’s to possibility, partnership, and the power of inclusion. 💙🐴

On this Giving Tuesday, we would like to extend a special invitation to you. Will you join all of us in being a part of what makes miracles happen at the barn?

Will you be the reason a client finds acceptance, challenge, and growth, or a parent finds connection and support?

We are at 58% of our goal. Let’s get there…together!

Horses Helping People

Established in 1982, We Can Ride improves the lives of individuals with special needs or disabilities through equine assisted activities and therapy. Every year, over 275 individuals come to us for the physical, mental and emotional benefits of our programs. Anyone with a diagnosis aged two and up is eligible for our work.
