Sending a huge THANK YOU to our friends and neiggghhbors at Northeast Bank! After we had an opportunity to present about our mission last year, they were so moved by the work we do that they decided to award us a $3,000 grant.

Klara and Diego were on hand for a meet and greet yesterday, along with staff and volunteers.

Today client Alena worked on strength, mobility, coordination, and horse skills…all supported by her equine buddy for the day, Klara!

Filled with beautiful photos highlighting our herd and celebrating the beauty and soul of the horse, they are truly a work of art and heart.

Want one? They are available for pickup at the barn for a $20 donation (feel free to leave a tip…these ponies are hungry 😅)

As the year comes to a close, we want to pause and say thank you to our incredible community — our participants, families, volunteers, staff, and, of course, our amazing horses.

This season reminds us of the healing power of connection: the quiet moments in the barn, the trust built between horse and human, and the courage shown every day by those who ride, learn, and grow with us. Each step forward, no matter how small, is something to celebrate.

Horses Helping People

Established in 1982, We Can Ride improves the lives of individuals with special needs or disabilities through equine assisted activities and therapy. Every year, over 275 individuals come to us for the physical, mental and emotional benefits of our programs. Anyone with a diagnosis aged two and up is eligible for our work.
