The six best doctors: sunshine, water, rest, air, exercise, and diet.

I love this reminder.

Yes, I talk about supplements when needed. Yes, I recommend immune support this time of year.

But the foundation is always the basics.

Sunshine.
Movement.
Hydration.
Rest.
Nourishing your body well.

With this little tease of spring weather, get outside. Go for a walk. Soak up some fresh air. Let your nervous system reset a bit.

On this Valentine’s weekend, this is your reminder that loving yourself does not have to be complicated.

Sometimes it simply means taking care of the body you were gifted with.

Get out and enjoy this beautiful day. Your spine, your immune system, and your mind will thank you.

It’s that time of year again… cold and flu season.

At our house, we focus on a few simple basics to support our immune systems: Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, and Zinc. These are also some of the most common supplements I recommend to patients this time of year.

We squeezed in some time on the ski slopes this weekend, and the kids had an absolute blast.

Mark and I might not bounce quite as quickly as we used to, but it was worth every minute. And we know a chiropractor or two to get us back into shape 😉

Movement, fresh air, laughter, and a few sore muscles are all part of making memories.

Some days it really is head, shoulders, knees, and toes.

This visit looked a little like everything getting some attention. Neck and shoulders, back, knees, and ankles.

Did you know that stiff or sore muscles and joints in the winter are not always just from the cold?

Dehydration can play a role too. Dry winter air, less thirst, and fewer water breaks can leave muscles and joints feeling tighter than usual.

A few easy winter hydration reminders
• Warm drinks still count, hello tea
• Coffee counts too, just balance it with water 😉
• Sip throughout the day
• Add electrolytes if plain water gets boring (we have some fun flavors in the office).

Winter bodies need hydration too.

This is Hazel’s first year in school sports and we are so proud of her for trying new things. Like many families, we are learning right along with her. New routines, new muscles being used, lots of movement, followed by long drives and plenty of time for mom and dad on the cozy gym benches 😬

Whether you are a young athlete just getting started, someone who has been playing for years, or a parent spending hours on hard bleachers, your body is working overtime and may be needing a little extra care.
