Our goal is to provide both educational and motivational materials for fitness enthusiasts and athletes in an effort to help them reach their individual and team goals. The Athletic Performance industry is evolving in ways never seen before. With scholarships, state titles, and the all important bragging rights on the line, athletes are now expanding their training beyond pre-season workouts and just “going to the gym”. Over the years we've had the tremendous honor of working with and picking the brains of some incredibly inspiring coaches, business leaders, commanders, SME's, and more.. Before catching passes from Joe Montana, did you know that NFL Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice used to catch bricks while growing up working for his dad? Did you know that all-time major league baseball strikeout king Nolan Ryan used to throw over a thousand newspapers per morning before school to help his dad? Did you know all-time great NFL running back Barry Sanders used to lug bales of shingles up ladders for his dad's roofing company while growing up?
Had the awesome honor of working on this book project with former Micheli Center rehab specialist/strength and conditioning coach and good friend Farren Davis. With dozens of stories, a look at the theories and science, and training examples, we tackle the potential role exposure to manual labor work plays in building hardiness, functional strength, character, and grit.
