This week, Viera Hospital opened its doors to approximately 70 Brevard Public Schools seniors for Student Exploration Day.

Students rotated through Q&A sessions, test-drove a Robotic Bronchoscopy system, and discovered just how many career paths exist inside a hospital.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming Melbourne High School’s Health First Healthcare Academy Emergency Medical Responder students to Holmes Regional Medical Center for a hands-on experience!🏥

These 11th and 12th graders toured our SICU, Cath Lab, and Emergency Department, gaining firsthand insight into the fast-paced world of healthcare. In our nursing skills lab, they practiced wound care, explored mobility equipment, and even participated in respiratory intubation training.

Students also learned more about professional development opportunities and our Come Grow with Us program — designed to support the next generation of healthcare professionals.🩺

A special thank you to their teacher, Susan Robbins, and our Associate Development team for making this experience possible. We’re excited to see where these future healthcare leaders go next!
