Working behind the scenes in the lab, he performs tasks patients rarely see—but that are essential for guiding care and supporting critical clinical decisions.

Bryan began his journey at Health First as a lab assistant while completing the Medical Laboratory Technologist Program, gaining real-world experience that helped him build confidence and develop the skills he uses every day.

This October, during , we’re celebrating inclusion and the incredible contributions of individuals with disabilities in our workplaces and communities. 💜

At Health First, we’re proud to support young adults with developmental disabilities through Project SEARCH — a national program that helps participants gain real-world experience and valuable skills for future employment. This year, 27 interns joined our hospitals, building confidence through hands-on training while learning about self-advocacy, workplace readiness, financial literacy, and more. 🌟

Thinking about joining Project SEARCH or know someone who might benefit? Our Career Camps offer a hands-on preview of the experience, helping participants explore career opportunities in a supportive, inclusive environment.
