At The DRIPBaR, safety is always the priority.

Whether you come into the clinic or schedule a mobile IV at home, every drip is prepared the same way. All IV bags are mixed in a sterile hood before they ever reach your arm.

Here’s why that matters.

A sterile hood is a controlled workspace that uses filtered air to keep the environment clean while IVs are prepared. This helps prevent dust, bacteria, and other particles from getting into the IV. It is the same type of environment used in hospitals and pharmacies when preparing sterile medications.

IV therapy goes directly into your bloodstream. It does not go through your digestive system first. That means your body does not have the same natural filtering process it would have with food or supplements. Because of that, sterile preparation is extremely important.

Some mobile IV providers mix drips on kitchen counters, coffee tables, or other surfaces inside the home. Even very clean homes are not sterile environments. Air movement, dust, pet hair, cooking particles, and bacteria are things you cannot see, but they are present.

Here is a simple way to think about it.

You would not cut raw chicken on your kitchen counter and then immediately prepare food on that same surface without cleaning it first. Most people understand the risk of cross-contamination with food. The same idea applies when preparing medical fluids that will go directly into your vein.

If you would not risk bacteria when preparing food, it should not be a risk when something is going directly into your bloodstream.

Mobile care should not mean lower standards.
