Fun fact: She spent a summer as an English teacher on a small island off the coast of Taiwan and provided healthcare and education to underserved children in Lima, Peru. In addition to her global endeavors, she is an experienced art instructor and swim coach and volunteered as a tutor for minority youth in Washington.
