Members of the Mobile Health team were glad to meet with State Commissioner of Health John Dunn, DVM, PhD, EMBA-SL, at the Lake County Health Department last week and give him a tour of the mobile health unit. Commissioner Dunn (right) was accompanied by his executive assistant Misty Hernandez-Perry, and JW Randolph, deputy commissioner for health strategy and regulation.

Congrats to Dr. Rita Hollingsworth!

Congrats to our own Rita Hollingsworth, DNP, FNP-C, AGACNP-C, who was selected as the Health Care Hero in the category of Health Care Provider, Non-Physician, at the Memphis Business Journal awards program last night. Dr. Hollingsworth is the advanced practice nurse who is the primary provider on the UTHSC Nursing Mobile Health unit, serving Lake and Lauderdale counties. The University of Tennessee Health Science Center is proud of you!

Thank you, Lake County Schools, for inviting us the the Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 2nd in Tiptonville at Lake County High School

These nursing students enjoyed working with the MHU Nurse Liaison in sharing our services and some swag with students of all ages who are returning to have a bright start to the 2025-2026 school year. We enjoyed meeting new community members and reuniting with ones we have known, and our students learned more about this rural area and the importance of our partnership together to serve others. They were also able to encourage some High School students to consider UTHSC College of Nursing as a career path. ☀️

Two MHU team members, Rita Hollingsworth, DNP and Celecia Osborne, BSN-RN were invited to the Kiwanis Club of Dyersburg to share more about services we provide in rural northwest Tennessee. Thanks for the invitation and for allowing us to serve in these communities 🧡 💚

Our guests today were Celecia Osborne and Rita Hollingsworth, representing University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Nursing Mobile Health. Thank you for providing much needed mobile health services, as well as telehealth services, to our communities.

Dear Community Members, we once again are having difficulties with our Mobile Health Unit van. While it undergoes repairs, we appreciate your patience and understanding for our need to offer telehealth services instead of on site availability at our initial June 2025 location calendar.
While you will not see our van out and about, you CAN still see our Nurse Practitioner via telehealth with the same level of expertise and care provided. Please call 731-616-8866 for more info and/or to schedule an appointment. Thanks! 🧡 💚

Our MHU team along with the help of Lebonheur NP Mallory and these three UTHSC nursing students helped 16 middle school students in Lauderdale County get their school sports physicals completed ✅

These UT nursing students displayed initiative, compassion and so many other outstanding nursing skills today at the Lake County Community baby shower in Tiptonville. 🧡 💚
They were able to cheerfully serve almost 50 mothers. They represented the university and themselves in such a caring and professional manner.
We are so thankful for the Lake County Health Department for hosting and inviting us to this wonderful event. We appreciate the opportunity to be with this community.
