We are excited to share that PopCheck Technologies, led by CEO Erika D-c, has been awarded The Mustang Award and the $10,000 cash prize at the pitch competition!
What made this especially meaningful is that the event was driven by organizations rooted in and focused on uplifting founders building in this region. Supporting local innovators and creating pathways for early-stage companies to grow here in the Mid-South is essential for the health of our entrepreneurial ecosystem, and we’re grateful to be part of that momentum.

PopCheck Technologies is excited to announce our participation in the 2023 National Institute on Aging - NIH Start-Up Challenge and Accelerator! This challenge focuses on organizations with innovative ideas on how to utilize science to prevent disease, prolong life, and promote health with an additional emphasis placed on improving outcomes from diverse populations including women and people of color. We look forward to learning from the accelerator, our mentors, and other challenge participants.

This is a common condition that can be life altering, deadly in many cases, yet preventable. We recently had the great honor of participating in the inaugural cohort of The Lightning Accelerator Program led by at . This program aims to close the gap between academic research, biomedical innovation, commercialization, and entrepreneurship across the Vanderbilt community. The program ended this past Friday with Demo Day where we pitched to a panel of judges and an audience of the greater Vanderbilt and Nashville entrepreneurial ecosystems. We want to give a special thanks to our awesome program coordinators, mentors, advisors and fellow cohort members who made this a truly unforgettable experience.

However, to date, there have been limited studies evaluating these risks in the transgender community.
