Another first for Conley today! He had his first ROLFing TX with the absolutely wonderful Jola Carrick of ROLFing Memphis. We were early for the appointment ( always am lol) so we hung outside for a bit and practiced walking in our new harness and then off he went inside to see Miss Jola! He loved her!
So what is ROLFing?
Rolfing is a form of alternative medicine originally developed by Ida Rolf as Structural Integration. It is typically delivered as a series of ten hands-on physical manipulation sessions sometimes called "the recipe". Unlike massage, which often focuses on relaxation and relief of muscle discomfort, Rolfing is aimed at improving body alignment and functioning.
He loved it and his legs were moving so quickly and for along time as she worked her magic. Rolfing aims to restore flexibility nd that will help him along with his PT.
He will be seeing her at least once a week, and along with his 2x a week visits with Dr Laros he is one busy boy!

There is just so much hope this sweet boy will walk one day. We truly want that for him.

Hopefully his new wheelchair will be in soon! His old one is looking rather shabby ;) He without a doubt got the most out of it!
he is now resting because he sees Dr Laros first thing in the am!

10 years ago today Rolfing Memphis opened our doors to help the folks of the Midsouth with their structural issues. Thanks you for your support. I came to town to open an alternative care practice in 2008 knowing only my daughter and her family. This speaks strongly of the power of the work. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to continue to help others. Thank you to patients, family and friends.
