With Christmas right around the corner, don't forget we have a host of great stocking stuffers here at Scotland County Pharmacy! From Apothecafé gift cards and Lotus-To-Go to awesome mugs.

Keep in mind as well, we will be closing early at 1 pm Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day. On the 24th, we will be doing strictly Memphis deliveries; no out town deliveries.

The Sandwich of the week is a new one to ring in the holiday season, the “Brie Wish You a Merry Christmas and a Hammy New Year.” Our end of the year special consists of honey ham with melty brie, house-made cranberry jelly, spinach and arugula, sliced apple and toasted pecans on Italian bread. Sandwich with chips and Pickles $7.50, or as a meal with side, chips, pickles, and a large drink $10.00. ***Brown bag special: Sandwich only (no chips or pickles $1.00 off).***

Chicken with capers, bacon, caramelized onions, and sautéed mushrooms topped with a melted Swiss cheese and a sweet chili sauce on grilled Italian bread. Tomorrow, Sunday December 7th, is the last day to change your Medicare D prescription plan. If you haven’t checked your plan you should now. There have been several big increases in premiums and you may spend hundreds or thousands more for your prescriptions then needed. We have reviewed hundreds of plans for our patients and we have had several save thousands by changing. If you do anything check and see what your premiums have done. If you have Medicaid and think you will have a zero dollar premium you could be wrong. There is several plans that were zero dollars for dual eligible patients (patients with Medicaid and Medicare) that now could have premiums as high as $50 a month.
