According to the Tennessee Department of Health, su***de is the third-leading cause of death for youth and young adults 10 to 24, and the second-leading cause of death for those 25 to 34. There were 1,219 su***de deaths in Tennessee in 2021 and an estimated 25 su***de attempts for each death.
