Drs. Sexton, Weiskopf, and Russ manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions.

At Sexton Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, we practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom teeth removal. We also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and perform a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. Additionally, our staff is trained in assisting with I.V. sedation within our state of the art office setting.

Know Your Surgeon: Dr. Russ

Dr. Matt Russ joined Sexton & Weiskopf Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in August 2024. Originally from Naperville, IL, he attended the National University of Health Sciences, graduating as valedictorian in 2014. Dr. Russ earned his D.M.D. from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in 2019, ranking in the top 5% of his class.

He received the Pierre Fauchard Academy Student Certificate of Merit and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society during his time in medical school. Dr. Russ completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2024.

Dr. Scott A. Weiskopf, originally from Memphis, completed his undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis. He earned his D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Weiskopf furthered his training with a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he served as chief resident in his final year.
He is proficient in cutting-edge technologies, including virtual surgical planning and computer-guided surgery. Additionally, Dr. Weiskopf serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis.

He then received his D.D.S. from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, in 1997.
