It's National Nutrition Month! ✨
This month we want to share some delicious, easy, and healthy recipes and learn about how nutrition impacts our wellbeing! What we put on our plates plays a powerful role in how we feel each day. Building balanced meals with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats can helps us stay strong and fights against things like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease! Small, consistent choices can make a lasting difference.
🍎🥦Daily fruits and vegetables – Try to aim for at least two servings of fruit and vegetables every day! These foods offer valuable nutrients that our bodies need to work their best!
🍚Get your whole grains in – Incorporate whole grains like oatmeal, quinoa, and brown rice into your menu. Four to six servings of whole grains a week is ideal!
🥑Add in healthy fats – It is a common misconception that we need to cut out all fats in our diet. Healthy fats such as avocados and olive oil provide necessary energy to keep you going all day!
