It’s been a while since my last post because I’ve been so busy in clinic! I’ve been working on a lot of fertility cases, pain cases, autoimmune issues, and digestive dysfunction to name a few. However this case here I find pretty interesting and with such an amazing outcome, I had to share it!
A young girl comes in presenting with idiopathic urticaria that started on legs and spread up to arms and face (first 2 pics) about 7 weeks prior to initial visit. The lesions were daily, constant, itchy, and generally unsightly and uncomfortable. The patient was taking Allegra, Benadryl, and Zyrtec daily but still getting flare ups (the first 2 images were taken while under this protocol). Doctors had prescribed 2 steroid packs which did not help, hydroxyzine which did not help and made patient drowsy, montelukast which did not help, and was now being recommended to take a monthly immunosuppressant shot for $3k monthly for 1 year with no guarantee of success.
After speaking with the patient and inspecting the lesions she was diagnosed with urticaria injury by wind cold and prescribed custom herbs.
By the end of the first week there was significant decrease in break outs but they were still there in the mornings. We continued with a customized formula and by the end of 6 weeks, she was off of all antihistamines, was taking no medications or supplements, had finished her rounds of custom herbs and as you can see, the results in the last 2 pictures speak for themselves!
This is the best possible outcome and one I knew we could achieve through proper diagnosis and consistency of treatment on the patients part.
