🧠💔 It’s National Stress Awareness Month

Stress can take over in intense moments…
But in an emergency, how you respond matters.

Here’s what to remember:

🧘‍♀️ Stay calm
Your breathing controls your reaction

📞 Call 911
Get help on the way immediately

🫁 Not breathing?
Start CPR right away

💪 Push hard & fast
100–120 beats per minute

⚡ Use an AED if available
It will guide you step-by-step

🧍‍♀️ Breathing but unconscious?
Use the recovery position

You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to act.

❤️‍🔥 This is your reminder:
Preparation reduces panic.

CPR can save lives—but when it comes to autistic individuals, how you respond matters just as much as what you do.
Here are key things to remember:
🫀 CPR Basics (Always Apply)
– Check responsiveness
– Call 911
– Start chest compressions (hard & fast)
– Use an AED if available
🧩 Autism-Specific Tips:
🗣️ Keep it SIMPLE
Use calm, direct phrases like “I’m helping you.”
⚡ Watch sensory overload
Too much noise or touch can increase panic.
🧠 Know the difference
Not all unresponsiveness = cardiac arrest
👉 No breathing? Start CPR immediately
👉 Breathing? Recovery position
🌊 Water safety matters
Higher drowning risk = rescue breaths are critical
⚠️ Seizure awareness
Do NOT do CPR during a seizure
Start only if breathing stops
🪪 Look for medical info
Bracelets, cards, or apps
👥 Listen to caregivers
They know best—ask quick, direct questions
❤️ Stay calm. Stay clear. You can save a life.
Training matters—consider getting certified with US!

Today is National Diabetes Alert Day—a reminder to take charge of your health and support those living with diabetes.

Diabetes affects millions, but small steps can make a big difference. Here’s how you can help:
• Know your risk – Get screened and encourage loved ones to do the same
• Eat balanced meals – Focus on whole foods, fruits, veggies, and lean proteins
• Stay active – Even 30 minutes of movement a day helps
• Support others – Check in, offer encouragement, and spread awareness
• Learn CPR – Heart health matters, especially for those with diabetes

Let’s work together to build healthier lives and stronger communities ❤️
