“The Lord gave me the vision years ago to come alongside the church to provide Clinical Excellence in Professional Christian Counseling. Initially, I found myself consulting with churches, pastors and agencies within the Southern Baptist Convention; I was providing training and support for efforts and programs dealing with hurting people. Parts of the vision were realized but it was not until I started teaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary that the ‘whole’ of the vision came together. The second year I was at Southern, I was offered the course, ‘Caring for Souls in the Congregation.’ In my preparation for this course, God revealed a model, that is now HeartLife.”
