Great Strides always hopes to create spaces where its learners and their families feel safe and supported. It is important to provide a place where parents are comfortable to share their concerns and fears without judgement, and to offer practical solutions. In doing this, we are thrilled to announce our first "Parents ONLY" event, "An ASD Parents' Perspective".

This was created for parents of children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder to listen and share in their experiences and invaluable knowledge. The "ASD Parents' Perspective" event is meant to foster connection and community, and to make sure that you know that you are not alone in your journey!

This FREE event will allow discussion on several topics including schooling and education, behavioral issues and strategies for every day, navigating parent fears while empowering the child to be fearless, and more!

Please join us for our first "An ASD Parents' Perspective" event on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 from 10 AM to 12 PM. Childcare and light refreshments will be provided during the event.

Great Strides is committed to assisting with all of our little ones’ challenges no matter how great, but we know that we can’t do it alone. We’re so thankful for wonderful people who choose to help us in our commitment to help others.

Here’s to shining a light on Mr. Courtney, our barber! We were searching for a barber that would assist us with teaching haircare and tolerance skills to our little boys. Whose acceptance and patience was like no other, and Mr. Courtney fit the bill!

He rejoices in the wins and walks with us through the tough moments. Mr. Courtney has been gentle, encouraging, and just awesome with our kiddos.

We are so grateful to have him as a resource. Thank you, Mr. Courtney!!

Today we honor and celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. His constant work towards a dream of equality and freedom for all, regardless of the color of their skin, has opened doors that we may never had imagined without him. We are grateful for his push forward as it has allowed us to stride with pride and power!
