Ground Zero...
After the Twin Towers came down and everything was demolished in 9/11; what is left is called “Ground Zero”
Ground Zero is a reminder to all mankind that, after all is said and done..we all are equal.
COVID-19, is another ground Zero..
We’re presently asking God for healing for Mr. Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister under the affliction of COVID-19. Prince Charles of England, the Canadian Prime Minister, Manu Dibango, the World renowned and accomplished saxophonist. These are few among great people that this epidemic has touched. And the list of many uncountable common men, all over the world.
Indeed, COVID-19 is a leveler. A ground zero of some sort.
I learned also, very significantly that.. the ground is level at the feet of the Cross of Christ.
Nobody brings charisma, reputation, influence, power or aristocracy to the feet of the Cross.
At the feet of the Cross, all men walk with the feet of clay.
Read the following scripture with me,please...
“For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He May nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God.” - 1 Corinthians 1:26-28
WOW, this is mind blowing.
Reading and understanding this scripture makes it impossible to sustain the illusion that the advantages of birth, wealth, privilege, and power give any one man value above another in God’s eyes.
Jesus doesn’t gravitate toward the rich, the elite, the socially prominent, or the powerful. His disciples were ordinary, uneducated working-class men; deliberately.
Thus we sing ..there’s room at the Cross for everyone and..Whosoever will may come.
Tell me, if Christ made salvation available for only the rich and powerful influential folks; where would a peasant like me be? Who would have paid my ransom if my Christ didn’t.
Bro, we’re all equal.
The Pope and the peasant...equal
The most revered man of God... is a man
The rich and poor
Just like this COVID-19..has forced us all to ground zero (our homes); so we must realize that under God we’re equal.
