It’s Thanksgiving weekend and some of us are around family. So, I want to drop a quick anxiety hack to help get someone through this weekend.

Ice Ice Baby!🧊 Because I know how family can be and one of the family member’s will say something to get you hot and bothered.

Go grab a piece of ice.
🧊 Put a piece in your mouth to keep you from saying something you might regret.
🧊 Hold a piece in your hand to keep you from laying hands on someone who may need more than a hug.

But frfr…The goal of ice is to keep your body cool and in a relaxed state. Ice is the quickest anxiety hack to lower an attack because it can adjust your body temp🤒. When you’re stressed, your heart rate increases, causing your body to get hot.

KEEP CALM. EAT GOOD. STAY COOL.

Grounding is another way to calm anxiety during a panic attack. With this method, you focus on the 5 senses to identify objects around you to help your brain recognize where you are.

The best way to start is by finding a comfortable and quiet spot, taking at least 5 deep breaths, and going through the list. This is not only helpful during anxiety but throughout your day. It creates a sense of comfort because you know where you are and you feel more in control of the situation.
