Every Saturday (11am-1pm) in the downtown LOGIC church parking lot we run a syringe exchange/syringe services program (SSP)! No stigma, no judgement, and especially no misinformation and drug war propaganda! Come as you are. HAPPENING NOW!

Thank you to everyone that donated supplies, snd funds for our emergency temporary shelter resource during the winter storm! Our unhoused community worked together to get their fellow unhoused friends and comrades each the resources they needed, and even traveled out to bring people back to our motels. We even had an impromptu therapy dog (actually just one team member's very cuddly and over-friendly dog - picture #4)!
901HR provided emergency temporary shelter through ~40 shelter vouchers and motel rooms for ~22 of our most disabled and at-risk unhoused friends and neighbors.
We didn't do it alone though! We had many community partners and organizations contribute! We're thankful for members of , of , and from for helping provide transportation, clothes, food, and other resources! Our community here worked hard to make sure everyone got what they needed as best as they could given the limited access and weather!
Thankfully many Warming Centers opened as well, but they aren't always safe & are always overcrowded! People have lost their IDs, important personal belongings, harm reduction resources, and many items there. One of our folks was stabbed last year. Then when trying to report just 30min later they were met with law enforcement & kicked to the street. Many of our women/femme-presenting folks have experienced s*xual assaults and harassment at warming centers. We hope these churches/community centers do better and we continue to still provide HR supplies, but we aren't willing to wait bc we know WE KEEP US SAFE!
Additionally, one of our organizers and team members stayed in a room with our unhoused comrades due to losing their own utilities, and was therefore able to gather folks to provide an impromptu training session on how to best use many of our HR resources - including test strips, and both intranasal/intramuscular naloxone - for how to recognize & compassionately respond to an OD!
Lastly, the best news of all - Our unhoused friend Will secured permanent housing (in their motel room) through this opportunity by signing on to a monthly rate!

1 week ago, last Friday, 3 of our team members got invited by to be on a panel and speak as lived experience experts on the intersectionality and cycle of being both unhoused and being in the legal system. Kym and King (top) are 2 of our currently unhoused comrades that spoke on the systemic racism and violence they experienced both on the streets and in 201 Poplar/Jail. Paige, (bottom), is one of our organizers and team members and she spoke on her experience being previously unhoused and being targeted constantly by simply for just sleeping in her car in 2024 and how during her previous experiences being unhoused the police and criminal "justice" system chronically made her situation worse instead of helping or offering resources; how ticketing someone who doesn't have the $ for housing ironically kept her living in her car longer. She also spoke on her recent experiences being arrested for drug checking (a common harm reduction tool used to check for contaminants in the street supply to prevent overdoses), then stereotyped as a ju**ie for distributing harm reduction supplies despite having a PhD and being way more qualified than any police or judge to handle substances. We hope to share some pictures and videos soon of the panel and speakers!
After the panel, these comrades worked together with the rest of our unhoused community and to get folks into temporary emergency shelter before the winter snow storm hit. We gave out about 40 shelter vouchers and put some of our regulars and folks most at-risk into motel rooms (about 20 people) for as long as the donation funds would last. Then we worked hard to find our unhoused comrades and PWUD around the medical district, midtown, and downtown that we lost contact with so we could bring them to safety.
If you donated funds to keep our people in emergency housing, you saved lives! Seriously!! We don't even know who all we've lost yet. Our unhoused neighbors can't change out of their wet clothes once they're wet, and walking through this storm and snow is a lot more difficult when people have to take all their belongings with them.

STOP! You can help us keep our unhoused community alive RIGHT NOW. Read and share!
Everyone and their mother is sharing the Warming center details which is great, but we work directly with our unhoused community in Memphis everyday and we know directly from them that those places are often overcrowded and unsafe. If it saves people's lives today then we are glad it exists. BUT Our unhoused comrades have experienced theft, s*xual harassment and one of our regulars got stabbed last year and then wasn't believed after trying to report it just 20mins later and instead got kicked out. While the non-profits and charities with 6 figures worth of funding haven't spent anything on treating homeless people humanely like paying for motels for this emergency (yep, we actually learned not a penny spent from the LARGEST one downtown), we're out here building community helping each other! We're operating on just the $5 to the $50 to the $100 donations we get because this situation is so dire we're begging you guys on social media!
But we know so many of you are just as frustrated as us and have been beaten down day by day by our capitalist distopian hellscape we call a society and the only true help we get in desperate times are from either the people we care about and trust or just the kindness of everyday strangers that we don't know personally but know how to treat humans like humans.

This winter storm coming up in Memphis encouraged us to reshare these stories as a post. It's expected to be one of the WORST storms we've EVER gotten! To many people that statement might feel like an exaggeration because you've heard things like this but the actual storm turns out to hardly inconvenience you...ya wanna know why? Because in Memphis, winter preparation and weatherized infrastructure is disproportionately funded here; lower/middle-class Black and Brown neighborhoods and marginalized communities are the first to lose power and utilities first but the last to get it back.....for those of you rushing to the grocery store to stock up on necessities, you're experience being stuck inside is often no different than a day off with minor inconveniences...
Then what's it like for those that can't afford to buy in bulk? What's it like without power and water for so long? What's it like living outside?
For the Housed:
- having to choose which of your kids gets to be warm and which will freeze bc of limited resources.
- waking up to bugs in your home bc they need the warmer environment.
- your kids packed into one room like sardines because the heater only works in there.
- rationing canned goods you have to eat straight out the can.
- skin problems, itchiness and worsening infections bc you can't shower or wash clothes.
- getting frostbite bc your winter coats & shoes are too worn out
- constant suffocating anxiety about the future heating bill, wondering if you can shut anything else off without risking hypothermia.
--> then getting the MLGW bill & seeing they raised their prices during that storm & immediately start planning to prevent eviction.
For the Unhoused:
- Waking up soaked from ice & water that flooded your abandoned building.
- Constantly wet from having 1 pair of shoes/clothes
- Counting the seconds until daylight hoping you survive the night.
- having frostbite but wondering if losing a finger is better than risk being horrifically dehumanized by the healthcare system.
This list could be 500x longer - continue the list by sharing your experience and as we all are forced into isolation, remember that you aren't alone & we love you!

Every week we have our downtown SSP at LOGIC church from 11am-1pm! We will not have a dr*g users' union meeting today. Our meetings will resume in January 2026.

The Memphis Community showed up! Many of you contributed what you could and we couldn't possibly tag you all but we thank you profusely! You aren't just providing tangible items our unhoused community needs, you're reminding them that they are loved and cared for. Unlike charities and those apart of the non-profit industrial complex, our resources and services are provided through mutual aid.
During our outreach and events we constantly are telling people how we provide these resources, and many times we have to tell them this in the context of why we don't have all the resources they need all the time; because we didn't get any funds to purchase these, and we didn't have anyone donate those items yet. Our unhoused comrades know that our resources and supplies come from the community, NOT charity!
We run completely on donations, and we're run by people with lived experience. These past couple weeks though many of you stepped up and so did other local groups, businesses and organizations, including and !
We are out of funds though, and since we're also run by mostly people below the poverty line as well we do need some $ to distribute these items. So for those that can contribute gas $ and funds for giving our unhoused folks temporary shelter please consider making a holiday donation during this time of giving! Links are in our bio and below:

We are working on more drop off locations and need more capacity, but right now we have donations of Thanksgiving leftovers we've distributed, but limited capacity means when we are out distributing harm reduction supplies, donations and food, nobody is available to take the leftovers! So if you have Thanksgiving leftovers we DEFINITELY still need them and all other donations, especially with the harsh weather! But please drop off donations and food to the CYCA center (during open hours) if you can't reach us when we're busy! Or please wait until we have a team member at the address we have sent via DM so that they can be there to take the donation!
We plan to be back at donation drop off address around 4pm today! Until then we're out doing drop offs and our regular outreach & picnic with today!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! While we hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday with their families and friends, we wanted to take a moment to ask, for those who are able, to consider donating to your unhoused community members and friends, to your marginalized and most at-risk community members and friends. Many of them won't be celebrating or eating with the ones they love. That's why overdoses and su!cides are higher around the holiday season (everywhere, not just Memphis).
To top it off, we're facing a very harsh cold front where our unhoused community members risk freezing, losing limbs, and dying. It happens every year and only a small percentage are actually counted (when you hear the news say 2 or 3 homeless people froze to death it's usually ~3-5x that count due to missing documentation or due to labeling their deaths as an OD simply because they tested positive for a substance).
There are always many large corporations and non-profits that ask for funds at this time, but many don't actually go to the people who need it. It's usually a tax write-off. But we are not a part of the non-profit industrial complex. We're a grassroots group run by and for the very people who know exactly what it's like. EVERY donation, no matter what type, goes directly to our comrades in survival mode who truly need it.
If you are able we want to ask for folks who would be able to donate funds so we can provide these neighbors and friends in Memphis with the ability to spend the holidays with our team and comrades. We want to make sure they can stay warm during this cold front with below freezing temperatures! We want to make sure they will not just survive but celebrate the holidays as well.

We have been quiet on these social media platforms as of late because most of our 901 Harm Reduction team members that run the socials were at the 2025 Drug Policy Reform Conference held by the (DPA). The rest of our team has been out there still doing the work, and we have still been collecting donations! Please donate winter clothing, both made meals & non-perishables, and funds if you can still!

Bodily autonomy doesn’t end at reproductive rights. It includes the right to use drugs, access care without coercion, and live free from punishment or surveillance.
Abolition means ending all systems that criminalize our bodies—policing, prisons, and the drug war included.

🚨 The “Memphis Safe Task Force” — a joint operation between local police, the National Guard, and multiple federal agencies — began operations on Sept. 29.

Governor Bill Lee claims they’ve “rounded up 850 violent criminals,” but that’s not true. Most arrests have not been for violent crimes — and ICE arrests have mostly targeted immigrants with administrative, not criminal, warrants.

This is not about safety — it’s about criminalization, fear, and control. Real safety comes from community care, housing, and harm reduction — not militarized policing. ✊🏽
