We are working on more drop off locations and need more capacity, but right now we have donations of Thanksgiving leftovers we've distributed, but limited capacity means when we are out distributing harm reduction supplies, donations and food, nobody is available to take the leftovers! So if you have Thanksgiving leftovers we DEFINITELY still need them and all other donations, especially with the harsh weather! But please drop off donations and food to the CYCA center (during open hours) if you can't reach us when we're busy! Or please wait until we have a team member at the address we have sent via DM so that they can be there to take the donation!
We plan to be back at donation drop off address around 4pm today! Until then we're out doing drop offs and our regular outreach & picnic with today!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! While we hope everyone is enjoying their Holiday with their families and friends, we wanted to take a moment to ask, for those who are able, to consider donating to your unhoused community members and friends, to your marginalized and most at-risk community members and friends. Many of them won't be celebrating or eating with the ones they love. That's why overdoses and su!cides are higher around the holiday season (everywhere, not just Memphis).
To top it off, we're facing a very harsh cold front where our unhoused community members risk freezing, losing limbs, and dying. It happens every year and only a small percentage are actually counted (when you hear the news say 2 or 3 homeless people froze to death it's usually ~3-5x that count due to missing documentation or due to labeling their deaths as an OD simply because they tested positive for a substance).
There are always many large corporations and non-profits that ask for funds at this time, but many don't actually go to the people who need it. It's usually a tax write-off. But we are not a part of the non-profit industrial complex. We're a grassroots group run by and for the very people who know exactly what it's like. EVERY donation, no matter what type, goes directly to our comrades in survival mode who truly need it.
If you are able we want to ask for folks who would be able to donate funds so we can provide these neighbors and friends in Memphis with the ability to spend the holidays with our team and comrades. We want to make sure they can stay warm during this cold front with below freezing temperatures! We want to make sure they will not just survive but celebrate the holidays as well.

🚨 The “Memphis Safe Task Force” — a joint operation between local police, the National Guard, and multiple federal agencies — began operations on Sept. 29.

Governor Bill Lee claims they’ve “rounded up 850 violent criminals,” but that’s not true. Most arrests have not been for violent crimes — and ICE arrests have mostly targeted immigrants with administrative, not criminal, warrants.

This is not about safety — it’s about criminalization, fear, and control. Real safety comes from community care, housing, and harm reduction — not militarized policing. ✊🏽

Organizers from the DC veterans encampment came out to Memphis to protect our unhoused veterans from the National Guard and set up a Memphis veterans encampment!
The majority of our unhoused community members that 901 Harm Reduction provides HR supplies and resources to are veterans. The distopian irony! Many of these unhoused veterans are at-risk for not just being homeless, but also being LGBTQ+, Trans, Black, hispanic, immigrants, disabled, and/or drug users. Many use drugs to manage their own disabilities, chronic pain (mental and physical), and the trauma that comes from being a part of the military.... whether that trauma comes from the propaganda, dehumanization, and rampant seggsual assault and violence...or actual trauma from combat.
It's one thing to deploy the National Guard on your own people....but to target unhoused veterans??? Don't let feelings of hopelessness stop you from fighting for your own people. If you are a veteran in Memphis, YOU can join in the fight to protect your unhoused comrades! The Memphis Veterans Encampment needs local veterans to be on site 24/7! So take a shift at the capacity you can!

Some of peoples donations were canceled because we hit the max number of individual separate donations cashapp would allow. Please donate to to emergency and temporarily housed people!
We were unable to accept multiple individual donations because they got canceled because we all were out dealing with the other motels racism. They kicked everyone out of their already paid motel rooms. We weren't able to communicate this until now after cashapp canceled individual donations because the Motel 6 on Union Ave kicked all of our unhoused community members out simply due to discrimination.
Multiple comrades almost got arrested as the hotel mgmt called the cops on us when we tried to get a refund. Our unhoused community members are almost all veterans and we were there most of the nights and there were NO rules broken. It is simply because these homeless veterans were mostly Black and all were homeless.
If your donation got canceled please resend it, even it were only $5 or $10 or $15 ! We put every penny and nickel directly into housing these people and/or protecting them from the National Guard!
