What is Ash Wednesday?

Traditionally the ashes are created from burning the palms used in the church on Palm Sunday the previous year.

The name of the day comes from the custom that churchgoers are marked on the forehead with a cross of ash to symbolise death and regret for past sins.

We acknowledged Ash Wednesday today with a ceremony conducted by Reverend Neenam and Reverend Dorsey!

Happy Fat Tuesday!!!! Today we had the best Madi Gras for our Residents and Staff!! Wow, we had home made Gumbo…Seafood, Chicken and Red Beans and Rice. You’ll see! Take in all the pictures! Thank you to Teresa who made the Gumbo, Activities and Nursing staff for such a great job!!

February in review! Happy Love Day! The women got their nails done and the meal was from Olive Garden! The first floor staff had a meal from Honey Bake Ham. They also had T-shirts made. They decorated a tree and exchanged gifts!
