From within the EMS community, 9/11 is remembered not only as a national tragedy but as a day when the true spirit of emergency services was on full display. Paramedics, EMTs, and firefighters ran toward danger without hesitation, driven by duty and compassion, knowing the risks but unwilling to abandon those in need. Many made the ultimate sacrifice, and their courage continues to inspire every provider who wears the uniform today. For us, 9/11 is a solemn reminder of the cost of service, the strength of unity, and the unbreakable bond shared by all in the EMS family.
