Tuesday’s Tidbit:
Nothing can replace a well-trained massage therapist, but there are several great self care tips for treating your sciatic pain. The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in your body. Sciatica is characterized by pain, tingling, or numbness going down the leg from the lower back. It is common for the pain to be on only one side of the body, but in some cases, both sides can be affected.

A massage encourages the release of pain-fighting endorphins this can provide temporary relief from symptoms like the throbbing pain in your foot or the burning sensation in your leg. Massage Tip Monday!!

Mondays are about starting the week with a refreshed and positive state of mind. Begin yours with a soothing self-massage. Are you achy all over from too much stress? It’s time to learn some instant moves this Monday to keep you on the dance floor of life in between your regular scheduled appointments. With a gentle touch, knowing the basics can melt away stress.

Also, tennis balls and foam rollers are cheap and versatile tools for self-massage. A tennis ball can be used to isolate and punctuate tension that has formed knots or trigger points. A foam roller is more broad and far reaching, use it on the entire leg and back areas.
