For women who carry so much — caregiving, leading, supporting, striving — the simple practice of nature journaling can be a powerful way to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with what nourishes us.

✨ Why nature journaling?
🪴 Deepens our nature connection
✍️ Supports emotional clarity + reflection
🍃 Deepens mindfulness and presence
🌞 Encourages creativity and self-expression
💛 Creates space to breathe, soften, and feel

Try noticing the super moon this Wednesday and journal about your observation and experience using words and images, perhaps listening for any wisdom the moon has to share and recording that also.

We’d love to see your journal page in the comments below. ❤️

🌿 Meet Leanna, LPC-MHSP 🌿

Leanna is a Licensed Professional Counselor who supports men, women, and teens navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life changes. 💛

Her goal? To create a space that feels safe, authentic, and accessible because everyone deserves support on their healing journey. ✨

With experience in Memphis-area schools and at Youth Villages, Leanna understands how much young people carry. She loves helping teens find new ways to connect, cope, and grow. 🌱

In therapy, she draws from person-centered, attachment-based, and somatic approaches, meeting each client exactly where they are. 💬

Outside the counseling room, you’ll find Leanna enjoying cold rainy days, coffee shops, Broadway shows, hiking, yoga, and weightlifting. ☕🎭⛰️

She believes that life—like therapy—is about showing up authentically, embracing both the joy and the struggle along the way.

🌟 Exciting News! 🌟

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Shelley, who has officially transitioned from intern to full-time therapist here at Memphis Center for Mindful Living! 💚

Shelley is passionate about walking alongside individuals and families as they seek growth, healing, and connection. Her own journey of personal transformation inspired her to pursue counseling and now she’s honored to support others in finding hope and new possibilities.

She especially loves working with children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, and life’s ups and downs. Drawing from approaches like CBT and mindfulness, Shelley creates a safe, supportive space where clients can grow and thrive.

A longtime Memphian (originally from Alabama!), Shelley enjoys spending time with her husband, teenage daughter, and their German Shorthaired Pointer often exploring the outdoors or discovering hidden gems around town.

We’re so proud of Shelley and thrilled to have her continue serving our community in this new role! 💫
