ACE Awareness Working with parents and communities across Tennessee to prevent adverse childhood experiences (ACEs

We know that repeated exposure to traumatic events in childhood is at the root of many poor adult outcomes. We believe that parents and communities are the keys to preventing many adverse childhood experiences (ACE’s). The ACE Awareness Foundation and our partners are determined to create a greater-Memphis community – and catalyze a state – that understands that the roots of violence, school failure, unprepared workforce, and many chronic diseases are ingrained in our families and our environment, beginning in the earliest years. Working together, we will transform the way medical systems and policies address health and behavioral outcomes for ALL citizens. The ACE Awareness Foundation launched, and currently administers, the ACE Task Force of Shelby County, the Universal Parenting Places, and a statewide community awareness initiative in partnership with the State of Tennessee.
