In recovery, inviting a friend to celebrate can be especially meaningful—for reasons that go deeper than just having company.

Recovery thrives on connection. Struggles often grow in isolation; recovery grows in honesty and relationships. Inviting a friend is a quiet way of saying, “I’m choosing connection now.”

It marks a new chapter. Celebration draws a line between the past and the present—this is who I am now, and I’m proud of it.

It builds accountability without pressure. When someone witnesses your milestone, it can strengthen your resolve to keep going, especially on hard days.

And sometimes the reason is simple and brave:
“I survived something hard, and I don’t want to hide anymore.”

We’re kicking off the night with Scott, Sarah, and Jenny for some powerful worship! This Friday is our Chip Night Celebration, followed by our Powerless lesson. At 7:30, we’ll break into small groups for share time, and then we’ll come back together for fellowship and a light meal as we enjoy time with our forever family.

Why do we share our testimony?
It gives hope/
When someone hears “I was there too, and I got through it,” it breaks the lie that recovery is impossible. Testimony turns recovery from an idea into a lived reality.

It builds community/
Testimony creates trust. It says, “We’re in this together.” Communities grow stronger when people speak honestly.

"Never walk alone" is a core philosophy of Celebrate Recovery (CR), a Christ-centered, 12-step program designed to help individuals find healing from "hurts, hang-ups, and habits" in a community setting rather than in isolation. The program emphasizes that recovery is not meant to be a solo journey, and that healing occurs best through community, accountability partners, and sponsors.

Celebrate Recovery Lesson 2 Powerless focuses on admitting the truth that we cannot control our addictions, hurts, habits, or the people around us. It challenges denial and self-reliance while inviting honesty and humility. By recognizing our powerlessness, we open the door to God’s strength and begin the journey toward freedom and healing. Recovery starts when we stop trying to be in control and allow God to work in our lives.

In recovery, denial means not fully recognizing or accepting a problem yet, even when it has caused real harm. It’s very common and not a failure—it’s often part of the process.
Join us Friday as we begin with Lesson 1 Denial.
Doors are open at 6:00 PM.
