In recovery—whether from addiction, trauma, or another life struggle—“being free” doesn’t usually mean that everything is perfect or that urges, memories, or hard days disappear. It means something deeper and more practical:

1. Freedom from control
You’re no longer being run by the thing you’re recovering from. For example, addiction doesn’t dictate your choices, schedule, or relationships anymore. You have space between an urge and your response.

2. The ability to choose
Freedom in recovery is about regaining choice. You can pause, think, and act according to your values instead of reacting automatically.

This Friday, come hear a recovery testimony that will inspire and encourage you. Jolee from Green Bay will be sharing her personal story of struggle, healing, and how her life was transformed.

If you or someone you love has ever faced hard times, addiction, loss, or challenges, this night is for you. Stories like this remind us that hope is real and change is possible.
