The “Leave Your Legacy” Fence Campaign funds the new perimeter fence at Mendenhall Cemetery. This fence is more than a boundary. It is a statement of respect. It protects the resting place of loved ones, enhances security, and ensures this historic cemetery remains a place of dignity and honor.

Many of our families have relatives buried here going back generations. This is our chance to give back to those who came before us and to invest in those who will come after us.

As everyone is preparing for the cold weather moving in over the weekend taking care of things at home , wrapping pipes and outdoor faucets we want to also emphasize the importance of going out to the cemetery and making sure the drain hole on your loved ones flower vase is clean and clear of debris so water can properly drain from the vase. Usually a blockage is caused by dirt dobbers or grass from summertime mowing getting trapped inside.

Often time this gets overlooked and can cause the vase to crack and break during rainy hard freeze conditions.

Drain holes are often located on the side or back of the flower vase and can be easily be cleaned with a simple piece of wire or steel coat hanger.
