We’ve been asked by the American Physical Therapy Association to raise our voices and contact our Senators and Representatives. This came straight from the gut. 💛
Today I shared my letter—because our profession matters, our patients matter, and our impact is deeper than any definition.

You know it… hiccups are a pelvic floor thing.

No need for the old wives’ tales like putting a cold fork in your mouth or chugging water as fast as you can.

Ever wonder where those even came from?
I do—usually while I’m trying to enjoy a quiet morning tea…

From a science perspective, it always comes back to the pressure system between the diaphragm and pelvic floor.

Next time hiccups show up, try this:
• Make sure you’re not constipated
• Sip some water
• Take a few slow diaphragmatic breaths

That’s it. No dramatics, no folklore tricks.
Just your body doing what it’s designed to do—and a simple way to reset it.

Breaking the stigma: pelvic health isn’t just for those who can afford it.

My 3 favorite DIY hacks:
• Donut cushion – tailbone pain relief
• Saddle support – loosen & prep the perineum
• Ball squeeze – ease SI pain & heaviness

Small tools. Big difference. Everyone deserves pelvic health.

My “labor-inducing donut” story still makes me laugh—especially since my father-in-law thought I was nuts. But that donut worked. That night, I met my third (and easiest!) baby. 🍩💛

Three babies in 39 months. 100 pounds gained each time. COVID hit—and from the chaos came my women’s health practice.

To my baby who feels everything and loves so big—you complete us. Happy 6th, my heart.

Bloated. Heavy. Tight.
Your organs are talking — they’ve just forgotten how to move.

Visceral mobilization helps them remember.
It’s gentle, feels like almost nothing…
but your body immediately says thank you.

This is what I do in every session —
I listen to your organs, guide their movement,
and help your body find its natural rhythm again. 🌿 I am so grateful to have a practice in which I can slow down and help you

I too forget to switch directions with my pelvic floor habits — and every time I finally do, it feels so awkward! 😅
But that awkwardness? That’s your body waking up and balancing out.
Here’s a simple and super effective way to re-engage your pelvic floor:
👉 Change directions.
It helps open the side that’s usually stiff and strengthen the one that’s over-lengthened.
Small, mindful changes = long-term pelvic floor health 🌿

Ever catch yourself holding your breath like you’re bracing for impact?
Yeah… your hips notice.

That tight, wide-hip feeling?
Half posture, half anxiety, half “haven’t exhaled since 2020.” 😅

Try this instead:
Short inhale. Long exhale.
Let your ribs move, your hips melt, and your nervous system chill out for a sec.

Your pelvic floor will thank you. 💛

I’m having too much with class this season and I keep forgetting to post the fun we have ….Today’s Pelvic floor tip: don’t forget the backside! 😉 Hamstrings, glutes, and triceps balance your quads + biceps and give your pelvis the support it deserves.
