My name is Jennifer (Jenny) Wheeler and I provide pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and treatment for sensory processing, fine motor skills, and feeding ☀️ In 2012, I embarked on my professional journey at the Mary Cariola Center, where my focus revolved around supporting children with a diverse range of disabilities. This encompassed a variety of complex conditions such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), Epilepsy, Pitt Hopkins syndrome, and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), among others. In 2018, I had the opportunity to work on a per diem basis at Nazareth College, assuming the role of an adjunct professor. During my time there, I supervised students as they provided treatment to both children and adults from the local community within the York Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute clinic and in March of 2023 I began working for Breaking Boundaries. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of providing services to children in various settings, including daycares, preschools, and their homes. I have actively pursued numerous continuing education courses to enhance my skills and knowledge in the field. Some of these courses include Rocktaping, the SOS Approach to Feeding, therapeutic positioning and handling for children with multiple disabilities, as well as aquatic therapy. In addition, I collaborated with a group of colleagues to conduct research and deliver a professional CEU based presentation on Feeding, to the staff at Mary Cariola in May 2021. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, Paul Wheeler, who also owns his own business, Wheeler HealthyU, which is where I will be providing therapies on site. Our family includes a 4-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son. As a family, we enjoy engaging in various activities such as running, biking, playing soccer, and even waterskiing. Paul and I initially crossed paths at Nazareth College back in 2009, and we discovered our shared passion for improving the quality of life for others. Our approach revolves around catering to individual needs and goals, ensuring that everyone can experience the best possible life.
