This week we pitched mimofit at the February Founder’s Showcase in San Francisco — and were awarded 1st place.

Grateful to present alongside strong founders across AI, biotech, climate and impact, at an event hosted by Malaika Commons in partnership with AngelList and Dream VC.

For us, this wasn’t just about pitching. It was about standing in front of a room of investors and builders and explaining something very specific:

Parkinson’s movement challenges are not just about muscles. They’re about timing, reaction, and how the brain initiates motion. And those mechanisms can be trained at home in a structured, measurable way.

That message resonated.

Thank you to the organizers, judges, and fellow founders for sharp questions and a serious room.

Now, we're about to open our pre-sales.

Not all exercise is equal. And, for neurological conditions, the type of exercise matters as much as the amount.

We’ve built a system that designs dual‑task exercises: movements where you have to think before you move. That means your brain is processing information and your body is reacting at the same time – a completely different kind of training for your nervous system.

What makes it special is that it’s dynamically adapted to you:

- Tailored to your specific symptoms
- Adjusted to what you can do on that particular day
- Progressing as you improve, backing off when you need it

So you’re not just “moving more”. You’re doing the right kind of exercise, at the right intensity, at the right moment for your brain and your body.

Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change through experience.

In Parkinson’s, this doesn’t disappear, but it does require more intentional stimulation.

Repetition is how the brain strengthens alternative routes when usual pathways become less reliable. Not through occasional effort, but through regular, structured practice.

That’s why consistency matters more than intensity in Parkinson’s exercise and why daily, accessible training makes such a difference over time.

At Mimofit, this principle is at the core of how we design our system.

In Parkinson’s, challenges rarely appear when someone is only moving or only thinking. They appear when both have to happen at the same time.

Walking while planning.
Turning while paying attention.
Navigating while processing information.

This interaction between cognition and movement is what researchers call dual-tasking, and it plays a central role in gait, balance and fall risk.

That’s why training these systems together is so important — not just for performance in exercises, but for real-world safety and autonomy.

At mimofit, this principle is built directly into how we design our training.

In Parkinson’s, movement is not only about keeping muscles active.
It is one of the most powerful ways we have to stimulate the brain itself.

Exercise engages motor and cognitive circuits simultaneously, reinforces alternative neural pathways, and supports the brain’s ability to adapt, even in the presence of neurodegeneration.

This is why, in Parkinson’s care, exercise is not complementary.
It is foundational.

At Mimofit, we build technology around this principle:

Not movement for movement’s sake, but exercise designed to work with how the Parkinson’s brain actually functions.

This new prototype represents much more than a design update.

It reflects months of learning from real users and translating that feedback into a device that is:
More stable, more intuitive, and better suited to everyday use.

From a redesigned base that eliminates tipping to a physical power button designed for ease of use in the 65+ demographic and sensitivity calibration optimized for home environments.

Every change was guided by one goal: making Parkinson’s exercise more accessible and simple.

This version is not just a prototype.
It’s the product we’re preparing to bring to people’s homes.

And that’s a milestone we’re proud of.

Growing evidence suggests that Parkinson’s is not a single disease, but a spectrum of biological subtypes.

Genetics, environmental exposure, brain reserve and network vulnerability shape symptom profiles, progression speed and treatment response.

This heterogeneity is one of the main challenges in clinical trials and one of the greatest opportunities for personalized care.

One diagnosis.
Multiple phenotypes.
Multiple strategies.

Day 2 at CES reminded us that behind every innovation, there is a very human story.

Throughout the day, people approached us with curiosity.
Many shared that they themselves live with Parkinson’s, or that someone they love does.

Some conversations were difficult.
Some were hopeful.
A few brought tears.

Moments like these ground us in the responsibility of what we are building.

Mimofit is not just about technology.
It’s about supporting real lives, real families, and a reality that deserves far more attention.

We carry those stories with us as we continue this journey.

Degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the striatum is only the beginning.

As Parkinson’s progresses, multiple neurotransmitter systems are affected — including serotonergic, noradrenergic and cholinergic pathways — contributing to mood, sleep, cognitive and autonomic symptoms.

This multi-system involvement explains why Parkinson’s evolves from a motor disorder into a complex neurodegenerative condition.

Treating dopamine alone means treating only part of the disease.

CES is where the future gets previewed.

This year, that future included a stronger conversation around neurological health, movement, and accessible technology.

Being there marked an important step for mimofit — not only as a product, but as part of a broader shift toward more human-centered Parkinson’s care.

We’re proud to be building in that direction.

More to come.

For decades, Parkinson’s was treated primarily as a movement disorder.

We now know that non-motor symptoms are a core component of the disease and often the main drivers of reduced quality of life and caregiver burden.

Anxiety, sleep disorders, fatigue and cognitive changes frequently respond poorly to dopaminergic therapy and require multidisciplinary care.

The future of Parkinson’s treatment is not purely neurological.
It is integrative.

At CES, our founder Christoph Dressel was asked a simple but fundamental question:
Why is movement so important for people with Parkinson’s?

Because Parkinson’s is, at its core, a disease of slowing down.

Slowing of movement.
Slowing of reaction.
Slowing of automatic control.

Exercise is one of the few interventions that directly targets this process by stimulating neural circuits, preserving motor function and maintaining autonomy.

At mimofit, this is exactly what we design for:
technology that transforms movement into structured, engaging and continuous therapy.

In Parkinson’s, staying in motion is not optional.
It is essential.
