What does it really mean to build technology that serves people?

In this episode of The Oneness Leadership Podcast, our CEO Christoph Dressel shares his perspective on building mission-driven companies — and why innovation should go beyond products to focus on real human needs.

From his journey across multiple startups to the work we’re doing at Mimofit, the conversation explores:
→ human-centered design
→ ethical and responsible innovation
→ building technology that creates meaningful impact

A thoughtful conversation on what it takes to align technology with purpose.

After years of research, testing and building, we’ve received the first units from our production line.

What started with clinical trials 4–5 years ago, and promising results, became something we knew we had to bring into the real world.

Since then:
— Building the technology
— Developing the app
— Learning, iterating, improving

And now, holding the product in our hands for the first time.

This is more than a device.
It’s the beginning of a new chapter in how we live with Parkinson’s.

Behind the scenes of where the research happens.

Eduardo Villamil Cabello from our research team takes us inside the Motor Control Lab at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, where we run our clinical trials.

This is where we test, measure and learn.

In our studies, we’ve observed promising improvements in walking speed and reaction speed using mimofit.

Training at home doesn’t mean training alone.

With mimofit, sessions are guided through simple visual and auditory cues, while progress is tracked in real time through the app.

Structured, personalized and designed to adapt as symptoms change.

Because Parkinson’s affects movement, but it also affects timing, drive, and confidence.

The right training environment can make a difference.

Pre-sales now open.
Shipping begins late April 2026.

Grateful to Santa Cruz Works for featuring mimofit and the work we’re doing to bring science-based Parkinson’s training into people’s homes.

It’s exciting to see more conversations happening around accessible, human-centered digital health.

If you’d like to learn more about what we’re building, come meet us on April 1 at Santa Cruz Works New Tech.

Exercise for the body, brain, and soul. That’s how Kevin describes mimofit and that’s exactly what people with Parkinson’s need: safe, structured movement that challenges the mind as much as the muscles.

That’s the idea behind mimofit: structured, science-based training built specifically for people with Parkinson’s.

Ready to make exercise part of your treatment plan?

We often talk about innovation as if it’s just about technology.
But in health, innovation looks different.

It’s quieter. More human. And often, more urgent.

At mimofit, we spend a lot of time thinking about something very simple:
how to help people with Parkinson's move, react, and feel more in control of their own bodies again.

Because behind every solution or feature, there’s a person trying to do everyday things that used to be effortless.

That’s the kind of work we’re bringing to Santa Cruz Works New Tech on April 1st. Our CEO & founder, Christoph Dressel will share how we’re rethinking training for people with Parkinson’s, and what that means for the future of digital health.

Why is this exercise great for people with Parkinson’s?

This activity may look like a simple game, but it actually trains several abilities that are often affected by Parkinson’s.

When the lights appear, participants have to react quickly, move toward the correct color, and tap it before it disappears. Because the colors change frequently and vanish after a few seconds, the brain has to constantly adapt.

This helps train:

• Reaction speed – responding quickly to external cues
• Attention – tracking multiple changing stimuli
• Movement initiation – starting movement faster
• Spatial awareness – navigating around other players
• Dual-task ability – sometimes we also ask participants to say the color out loud while tapping it

That last element is particularly interesting. Many people with Parkinson’s experience reduced voice volume or mumbling, so combining movement with voice activation can help train both at the same time.

And because the exercise is played in teams, it adds a competitive and social element which often increases engagement and motivation.

What looks like a simple game is actually multitasking training for the brain and body.

Bradykinesia — the slowness of movement common in Parkinson’s — is not just about muscles.

Many people describe it the same way:
“I know what I want to do, but my body is slow to respond.”

A randomized controlled trial published in the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease (2025) tested time-constrained reactive training using reaching and stepping exercises guided by lights.

The difference?
A small, personalized time limit.

Participants who trained with this gentle sense of urgency:

✔ Reacted faster with their hands
✔ Initiated steps more quickly

Walking speed improved in both groups, but only time-limited training improved reaction speed, closely linked to bradykinesia.

This study was conducted using mimofit, designed to deliver structured, adaptive home-based training.

Pre-sales now open. Shipping late April 2026.

Medication is crucial in treating Parkinson’s.
But we talk so much about finding better pills that we forget the one tool that can slow disease progression: exercise.

Exercise is something you can do now, every day. It improves symptoms, mood, and overall quality of life — yet most healthcare systems still don’t offer it regularly.

If you or a loved one lives with Parkinson’s, remember:
Exercise is treatment.
