Carol’s Best Advice For Men & Women getting Close to 60 Years Old!!
1. Your body doesn't recover like it did before over the age of 50. Don’t ignore pain now, it may become permanent later.
2. Movement is no longer optional. I keep stressing exercise!! One lazy week or even a month can steal the strength of an entire year.
3. Protein is your best friend. Know how much your body needs!! Muscle loss after 60 is fast - and rebuilding is slow.
4. Balance decides YOUR independence. One bad fall can change your whole life overnight.
5. Stress hits harder now and knowing how to mange it can either help you or can break you.
6. Sleep is your medicine. Poor sleep weakens immunity, memory, and your heart health. Aim for 7-8 or more a night.
7. Routine is essential now. Fixed meal times, (fasting) walk time, exercise time, meditation time, sleep time becomes discipline and it protects you.
8. Your circle of friends and family affects your lifespan. Stay connected to positive people, remove toxic people now.
9. See your doctor for yearly checkups.
Most dangerous diseases in your 60s can be silent.
10. Your independence is earned each day you wake up. Stay in a state of gratitude, stay active with exercise, stay sharp with challenging your brain health and turn off the TV and social media. Make each moment count or you will slowly depend on others.
11. STRONG legs are your lifeline.
Strong legs mean freedom, independence and longevity. Weak legs mean limitation, balance and coordination issues.
12. Having faith in God is the foundation to knowing that you are protected, loved and always watched over. Believe and Receive knowing that your better days are ahead of you, not behind you. ❤️
We are all going to grow old-er! You can choose to accept it and do what it takes to stay healthy and strong or deny/surrender to it.
