Meet Han, Plant Manager in our Applied Sterilization Technologies segment. Some people find their purpose—others are forged by it. For Han, that purpose grew from a deeply personal journey with family members and even his own diagnosis. It’s why he’s so dedicated to his work and those around him.

Han joined STERIS six years ago and says he embraces the unexpected, seeing challenges as a catalyst for innovation rather than as a roadblock. “The key is to be innovative and creative to grow together,” he shared. As a coach and leader, he’s inspired when his team succeeds together, always keeping safety at the forefront.

Outside of work, Han enjoys cycling, padel (a racquet sport that combines the elements of tennis and squash), cooking, holidays, and spending time with loved ones—living life fully and intentionally. That dedication is the same reason he has participated in Alpe d’HuZes six times, cycling to raise money for cancer research. “I have lost loved ones, have seen loved ones fight, and I’ve faced my own battle with cancer as well. I felt a deep need to help contribute to research and to support others going through the same fight.”

Whether he’s cycling for cancer research or fine-tuning processes with his team at work, Han brings strength, unity and perseverance to everything he does.

2025 marked a milestone year for STERIS—our 40th anniversary. All year long, Associates celebrated through watch parties, luncheons, collaborative videos and more. The Endoscopy team in Mentor, Ohio came together to form a giant “40” in the parking lot, honoring four decades of innovation, dedication, and the commitment of our teams across the world.

Meet Monica, Senior Quality Inspector in our Healthcare segment. Her story is proof that precision, passion, and purpose come together behind every instrument that reaches a patient. From the shop floor to quality leadership, Monica’s journey is all about growth, trust, and making every detail count.

Monica joined STERIS in 2008 as a Finisher, and over time, she had the opportunity to grow into roles supporting continuous improvement initiatives and document control. “Those experiences gave me a strong understanding of our processes and quality systems. I have built many skills that contribute to the overall quality of our products,” she shared.

Monica says each day as a Senior Quality Inspector brings something new and different. She and her team make and inspect surgical instruments like needle holders, skin hooks, and endoscopic electrical and neurospine instruments. “There’s so much precision and problem solving involved. I verify measurements and specifications, review documents, support calibration, and focus on quality processes. Attention to detail and collaboration are very important. It’s more than just checking the instruments—it’s understanding how they function, interpreting blueprints, and knowing when something does not look or feel right—even before measuring it.”

Outside of work, Monica enjoys creative projects, thrifting, and restoring vintage items. She also loves spending time with her family and dogs.

Meet Sam, Territory Sales Manager in our Healthcare segment, who believes every day is an opportunity to support the heroes in healthcare and improve patient outcomes.

Sam joined STERIS in 2023 through the V. Mueller acquisition. As a Territory Manager, he finds purpose in playing a role in helping hospitals and staff deliver exceptional care to patients. “Our Customers really depend and rely on us. We’re more than just sales reps—we’re teammates,” he shared.

Sam starts his days bright and early so he can make it to all the hospitals on his list. He says each day is different, and being routine-oriented and organized helps him manage his time, making sure he is giving our Customers the care and attention they deserve.

As with any role, Sam encounters the occasional challenge. He navigates them with positivity and communication. “Transparency is the best policy. I always try to focus on what I can control—which is how I respond, react, and carry myself.”

In his free time, Sam enjoys golfing, riding his bike, spending time with his family at the lake, and taking walks with his wife, Kristin, and their dog, George—and lately, you’ll find him cheering on his Indiana Hoosiers football team.

Meet Justin, Associate Area Service Manager in our Life Sciences segment. Driven by a passion for collaboration and progress, he turns challenges into opportunities to create a better tomorrow.

Justin joined STERIS two and a half years ago and says he’s most proud of being able to help others succeed. “Two aspects that make me truly passionate about my role is working with great people and being involved with the amazing work that many of our Customers are excelling in,” he shared.

As an Associate Area Service Manager, Justin thrives on variety. No two days are alike—and that’s what makes his role so exciting. Whether he’s in meetings, talking to Customers, assisting in capital projects or checking in with his team, he brings a strong technical foundation and disciplined approach shaped by his military service. “STERIS has extensive experience in our field, and I often rely on others’ experiences to figure out the best way to approach new challenges.” Prior to STERIS, Justin served in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard, working in advanced communications, navigation, and electronics roles—experience that sharpened his attention to detail and ability to adapt to any situation he faces.

In his free time, Justin loves to be outdoors with his family. He enjoys hunting, fishing, mountain biking, snowboarding and hiking.

Three languages, three countries, one passion: connecting with people to support our Customers. Meet Lucas, Account Manager in our Life Sciences segment.
Lucas joined STERIS a little over two years ago and says his multilingual skills are key in his role. “Being fluent in Portuguese, French, and English helps me connect with Customers daily and deepen cultural understanding while growing our business. I’m a Brazilian who is married to a Serbian woman and living in France—being exposed to different cultures is a big part of who I am, and it certainly helps me in being receptive to different opinions,” he shared.

As an Account Manager, Lucas spends his days with our Customers on-site, in meetings, and in webinars. He also attends industry events, developing custom-made products with colleagues and providing technical support. He says his job isn’t just about sales or managing accounts—it’s about being a trusted advisor.

Obstacles and challenges are part of any role, and it’s no different for Lucas. “I focus on what the Customer needs. Every process is unique so you must adapt.” Lucas always strives to stay organized and listen—two skills he says are crucial for success.

In his free time, Lucas and his wife enjoy raising their son, who turns one year old today! He also likes producing electronic music, going to the gym, and reading science-related books.

Through a fun and interactive game, Associates showed that accuracy and communication are critical to keeping our teams effective and our Customers satisfied.
