Licensed Nursing Home Administrator Week Spotlight 🏥
During LNHA Week, we’re proud to celebrate the leadership and dedication of Beth West, whose passion and commitment help guide our community each day. Beth is a driving force in our building, helping create a strong, supportive environment for both our staff and residents. Together, we’ve built a wonderful family here—all centered around providing the best care for our residents.
To celebrate, we asked Beth a few questions about her role and what inspires her:
Q: What inspired you to become a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator?
A: My preceptor, Kelli Meadows. She is a rock star who not only inspired me but guided me throughout my journey. She could run up and down the halls of a facility in stilettos and make every resident and staff member feel like they were her favorite. She has a way of turning a building from a one-star facility to five stars in just a year.
Q: What is one part of your job that you find the most rewarding?
A: When my residents smile, are happy, and feel loved.
Q: What is something people might not realize about running a nursing home?
A: We are one of the most regulated industries in the United States. You are never fully away from the building—an Administrator is truly on the job 24/7. It’s something that has to be a calling and your purpose.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working with residents and staff?
A: I truly believe I have the best staff in the state. My team is full of people who genuinely care and are not just here for a job. That makes my days easier and more enjoyable. Walking alongside our residents and their families through this season of life is a privilege.
Q: What is one goal you always keep in mind when leading a nursing home community?
A: Do what’s right, even if no one is watching—and be the reason someone smiles today. Every day you have the opportunity to make a difference.
Thank you, Beth, for your leadership, compassion, and dedication to our residents, families, and staff. We appreciate everything you do!
