Super Bowl hangover check 🫠🏈

If your body feels like it played all four quarters… same.

Late night?
Too many wings?
“Just one more” turned into three?

No judgment here — we didn’t cheer for either team, but we did respect the commitment to snacks and couch cardio (reaching for the remote counts, right?).

Today’s goal isn’t punishment.

Anyone else feel like every day lately is just… wake up, drink coffee, think about working out, repeat? 😅

Yeah, same.

If it feels like you’re stuck in a loop, don’t stress ...that’s totally normal this time of year. The days are cold, motivation dips, and the couch is way too cozy.

But here’s the good part: you don’t need to restart, you just need to keep showing up.

Cardio before or after lifting?
If you’re training in your 40s (or beyond), this matters more than you think.

Most of the time, the answer is simple:
👉 Lift first. Cardio second.

Why? Because strength training requires focus, control, and good form—especially as we age. Doing intense cardio first can leave you fatigued, increase injury risk, and make strength work less effective.

That doesn’t mean skip cardio. It means use it wisely.

✔️ A short, easy cardio warm-up to get blood flowing? Yes.
✔️ Strength training to protect joints, bones, and muscles? Essential.
✔️ Cardio after lifting for heart health and endurance? Perfect.

And for those higher-intensity workouts that mix strength and cardio? They’re great—when done intentionally and not every day. Recovery matters more now than it did at 25.
