As a community advocate, I believe it is important to build connections and community within Merced County. I created the Community Calendar & Resource page as a way to disprove the saying "there's nothing to do here, that's why it's called Merdead". Feel free to share my page with anyone who complains about being bored in Merced.

The 2026 to 2027 Annual Action Plan is underway, and the City is asking for community input. This plan guides how federal CDBG and HOME funds are used for housing, public services, infrastructure, and community development.

Residents are encouraged to share their priorities by completing the community needs survey and or attending an upcoming community meeting. Your input will help shape how federal funding is used from July 2026 through June 2027.

ATTN Local Businesses!!!! I would love to have an Atwater business sponsor our area!! I've done 9 cats from my Rancho Colony, but there's at least 15 more. and that's just ONE neighborhood. Help me continue trapping and fixing Atwater community cats 🫢🏼🐾

🐾 Help Us Stop the Cycle β€” Sponsor a Colony. Save Lives. 🐾
Every day in our community, cats and dogs are born into uncertainty β€” hunger, illness, traffic, overcrowded shelters, and short lifespans. Not because people don’t care… but because affordable spay and neuter is still out of reach for many families and caregivers.
That’s where Merced TNR steps in. ❀️
We are asking local businesses, organizations, and compassionate individuals to consider sponsoring a colony TNR project or a spay/neuter surgery for families in need.
Your sponsorship helps provide:
🐱 Trap–Neuter–Return for community cat colonies
🐢 Spay & neuter for owned dogs in low-income households
πŸ’‰ Vaccinations and basic medical care
🏑 Fewer animals entering shelters
πŸ’” Fewer euthanasia cases
🌱 Long-term, humane solutions β€” not temporary fixes
Merced TNR is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible.
One surgery can prevent hundreds of future births.
One sponsored colony can change an entire neighborhood.
One act of kindness can rewrite an animal’s future.
If you’ve ever wanted to make a real, measurable impact β€” this is it.
πŸ“© Message us to learn how to sponsor a colony or surgery.
🀍 Help us turn compassion into prevention.
Together, we can build a safer future for the animals who depend on us.
