The City's Warming Shelter will be available Sunday, January 25th at 6 pm. If no occupants arrive by midnight the shelter will close.

We encourage residents to utilize the warming shelter and are advise to bring any necessary items such as medication, blankets, etc...

A strong cold front looks to bring the coldest temperatures of the season this weekend. Temperatures are forecast to feel like freezing or below each morning Sunday through Tuesday. Monday morning will be the coldest, with widespread frigid "feels like" temperatures as low as the teens and 20s on Monday morning. Remember to use trusted, reliable sources of weather information. A strong Arctic cold front is expected to move into the area this Saturday, bringing very cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills. Take steps now to protect the 4 P’s:

👤 People
-Dress in layers and limit time outdoors, especially at night and early morning.
-Check on elderly neighbors, young children, and those with medical needs.

🐶 Pets
-Bring pets indoors or provide warm, dry shelter.
-Make sure animals have unfrozen drinking water.

🏠 Pipes
-Insulate exposed pipes.
-Let faucets drip slowly during freezing temperatures.

🌱 Plants
-Cover or bring sensitive plants indoors.
-Water plants before the freeze to help protect roots.

⚠️ Use heating sources safely, never use grills, gas stoves, or generators indoors.
